Y&R Spoilers – John Driscoll Grew Up In A Military Family
Many fans who watched on the soaps year ago may not have known that Driscoll left the shows to become a US Army National Guard. After all, he grew up in a military family. Driscoll wanted to join the army after high school but had to put it off to attend college. He went to George Mason University where he majored in theatre and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
After schooling, he went on to pursue acting and his first role was Brandon on Young Americans, Blossom on Dawson’s Creek, a ‘club guy’ on One Tree Hill and David Congreve on The Book of Daniel.
He also had jobs outside of acting being a waiter at Bubba Grump Shrimp Company in Times Square, New York City. Driscoll was at the age of about 30 years old when he decided to enlist. He also went back to school to complete his undergraduate degree.
Driscoll has been a very successful man over the years. He worked relentlessly and outstandingly while working on GL and Y&R. When he left the soaps, fans yearned for a return, but he was already on a new path. At the mention of his Y&R character last year, fans were hopeful that it meant he would return to the show even for a brief visit.
However, Driscoll did not return and Boaz landed the part. We are very happy to hear about his romantic developments. We send our love and best wishes as he and his wife begin their happily ever afterlife.
