The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, is another sign that life is returning to normal, with whatever that baseline may be. However, it now becomes possible that Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) release will be linked to renewed contact with her son.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has been walking the proverbial tightrope in recent months. He didn’t want to scare his son or lie to him about Chelsea’s condition. But Adam will need to tell Connor the truth now that he is in GC.

Would Chelsea be in a mental health facility if Adam hadn’t gone off the rails? Grossman’s character believes a firm answer to that question is no.

Adam blames himself for Chelsea’s predicament and to a certain extent he’s right. However, the incredible Kansas reveal, that dated back many years, would have overwhelmed most if not all people. Adam’s awareness that he killed a man in defense of his mother broke his mind.

So, Adam wasn’t in control of his faculties when he ordered Chelsea’s kidnapping, which led to her stroke and subsequent retaliatory actions against him and others.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Can Be Absolved

Chelsea chose to poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as a means of getting back at Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who was helping Adam. Shadam was not reforming, which Chelsea couldn’t have known in her state of mind and while she was also restricted to the wheelchair in the penthouse.

Egan’s character wasn’t fully responsible for her actions in attacking Rey. But Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) protection plan, in having her admit the truth in exchange for his promise to keep her out of jail, could be jeopardized in coming weeks.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Desire To Protect Connor Newman Proves Strong

Chelsea’s maternal instinct is pure. But at this point in the plot she hasn’t recovered from the effects of the stroke or the mental anguish Adam and Sharon applied.

It’s reasonable to project that Chelsea’s desire to protect Connor will lead to a reckless mistake being made. The information she learns about her doctor, who is on Victor’s payroll, will lead Chelsea to believe that she should be released.

Chelsea hasn’t fully healed. So, danger lies directly ahead if she exits the facility early on Y&R.
