In the episode that aired Tuesday, August 6, Billy was a strong shoulder for Sally, who was grieving the baby she lost, Ava Spectra (uncast infant).

It was the first anniversary of her and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) baby’s death, having suffered a pregnancy complication and the tiny preemie didn’t make it.

Billy talked about when he and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) lost their daughter, Delia Abbott; (Sophie Pollono) ironically, because of Adam.

It was an accident and some good came from it considering Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) received a cornea transplant, Adam feeling guilt after realizing he killed a child.

As for Sally and her grief for Ava, she pulled out the tiny pink crocheted preemie cap from her purse and showed to Billy.

Adam no doubt has been preoccupied with Connor’s problems and the guilt of his and Chelsea’s cheating, but for Sally, it still hurt.

That put a seed of pain in Sally that will grow into a strangling vine, choking out any love she felt for Adam when she finds out he cheated with Chelsea.
