The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah Copeland, goes from playing a creepy storyline there to a creepier one in a new horror film. She has landed a part in an upcoming film titled The Deceived, which is currently slated for release later this year.

The Young And The Restless – Interesting Parallels
The description of the new film shares interesting parallels with the storyline on Y & R that Mariah is closely involved in, her mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) spiraling.
In that storyline, Sharon has gone off her bipolar meds and is being deceived by a hallucination of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).
“The Deceived” is an intriguing new film crafted by the imaginative Aash Aaron, who takes on both directing and writing duties, with production led by Tim Wall.
The story centers around Amy Wisez, (Kelly Sullivan) a young woman grappling with the deep scars left by the tragic murder-suicide of her affluent parents; Camryn plays Maryanne.

Kelly’s name should be familiar to viewers of The Young and The Restless, as she played Sage Newman, Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) first wife and Christian Newman’s (Alex Wilson) mother.
A quick look at IMDB shows this is Camryn’s second movie role, and she has been in many television shows including primetime; she played “Birthday Girl” in Magic Mike.

Camryn started her career as a child, playing Cassie Newman on the Young and The Restless, in between she played various roles, returning to the show as an adult-Cassie’s twin Mariah.
Cassie was killed in a car accident, and a more recent incident triggered Sharon’s unresolved grief and rage over Cassie’s death.

Some of Camryn’s primetime appearances include” NCIS”, “NCIS Los Angeles”, “The Mentalist”, “Make It or Break It”, “Cold Case”, “Ghost Whisperer” and “ER”. She did appear in a made for TV movie in 2000 called “Sharing The Secret” and also appeared in “Jag” and “Animal Kingdom”.
Camryn has made appearances in numerous short films, referred to as “shorts” in the industry, and produced two, one called” Getaway” and another called “A.W.O.L.”
