Yes, this is one of the lessons the undead Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is teaching her children and others in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) exploited Phyllis’ fragile state and loathing of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). He created this death hoax plan, with Phyllis agreeing to star as the lead.

Viewers were informed that Phyllis agreed to conspire with Jeremy. She did that after resisting his attempts to recruit her shortly after he arrived in town.

Of course, the only reason Jeremy met Phyllis is because she obtained his contact information after he was released early on parole. Jeremy was in jail because Diane turned state’s evidence against him in return for immunity from prosecution.

It is believable to have Phyllis relent and throw-in with Jeremy. But it is an open-ended question as to whether she will be able to restore the family ties she is shattering by pretending to die as a means of setting up Diane.

Y&R Spoilers – Does Diane Jenkins Deserve All This?

Phyllis has gone overboard, as Summer and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) have been telling her for months. Phyllis’ obsession with ridding Diane from GC is not based in reality.

Diane was clearly a troublemaker in days gone by. Her death hoax was horrible and caused her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), to be emotionally scared.

However, Diane explained herself to Kyle and Jack’s satisfaction. It is not Phyllis’ place to pass such harsh judgment against Diane, especially because of the colorful past, to put it mildly, Stafford’s character embodies.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – How Does Phyllis Summers Rebound?

Teasers indicate that the ambulance crash is part of the hoax. It will be interesting to see how Jeremy and Phyllis handle the natural issues of her supposedly dead body.

Summer and Daniel will go well beyond frustration, embarrassment, and anger when they learn Phyllis used them as part of her plot to bring Diane down. Meanwhile, Diane might be eventually positioned to be the martyr, which is exactly what Phyllis and Jeremy do not want.

More reveals must be coming because Phyllis and Jeremy intend to sink their shared nemesis on Y&R.
