However, Kyle’s desire to switch to Marchetti happened because he and Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) interests were in sync. Digitally skip to the present, Kyle just lost his job as Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) employee at Newman Media and wants to return to the co-Chief Executive Officer’s slot aside from his father.

Billy was on thin ice in recent weeks. Jack was contemplating removing his brother but a renewed threat from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) tabled that decision.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Kyle made his feelings known. He would return to the family business if he could regain his old title as co-CEO. Diane is on board with that because she believes Billy elicits Jack’s darker influences.

However, Jack does not want to provoke Billy during a period when all the Abbotts need to fight on the same side.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Likes To Freelance

Billy does not agree with his brother’s conservative approach to business. Thompson’s character remains the gambler and has freelanced, which has infuriated Jack on more than one occasion.

Tucker dangled a carrot in front of Billy’s face in the recent past. As part of the plan to have Simply Ashley take control of Jabot, Billy would have become the sole CEO but would have had to answer to Tucker and Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson).

The McCalls, who are currently estranged, did not put their plan in motion, canceling it because Ashley first decided not to pursue a hostile takeover. She later told Tucker that Simply Ashley was also a no-go during their honeymoon in Paris, France, which led to a major fight and their current separation.

All of the above preyed on Billy’s psyche and created the desired tension between him and Jack.

Jack believed his sister could be rescued from Tucker. While that did not happen, she did see the daytime light and break from him. Whether they remain apart or reconcile remains an open question.

Billy loathes Tucker as does Diane. So, it feels possible that those three minds will remain allied when Tucker exacts his takeover plan.

However, Billy’s backstory implies that he could make an unauthorized move that endangers Jabot and gives Tucker the edge on Y&R.
