Diane has been trying to be a better person. In contrast, Tucker is the same person or even arguably worse.
He did not have to use the information he learned to manipulate Diane. That was a cruel choice and also foolish. Tucker must believe that his actions would never become known to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), who he lied to upon his return to GC.
Jack’s knowledge of Diane’s LA backstory means that Ashley will become enlightened. Davidson’s character will gain the dirt she, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was hoping to get. But it seems questionable whether that trio can use it to force Diane out of town.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Has To Hope
Kyle is teased to learn about his mother’s reveal and defend her. Tucker’s opportunity to control Diane decreases when that happens.
Diane hopes that Kyle and Jack understand why she felt trapped by Tucker’s manipulation. As viewers recall, Diane did not provide Tucker with information about the Abbott family that proved damaging.
By Tucker’s statement, Diane did not live up to their arrangement because she did not tell him Ashley was back. So, it feels like Diane has a legitimate escape hatch and might be in the process of cutting ties with Tucker unless other devastating information is revealed on Y&R.
