Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam seems to be quietly plotting to take everything from Victor. Even though Adam’s big beef has mainly been with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Victor always chose his daughter. So, Adam will be going to work at Jabot and is keeping up his facade of not still being in love with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

In the episode that aired on Monday, August 22, Adam went to the ranch. Adam was going to just say hi and quickly leave, but Victor asked him to stay for a drink. During that conversation, Adam got an update on the Ashland investigation. While Victor didn’t admit to anything, Adam called out his father for staging Ashland’s death.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) told everyone that the Ashland case was closed. However, one has to wonder if that’s really the case. It seems out of character for Chance to go against everything he believes in. Maybe Chance just wants the Newman family to lower their guard.
In addition to that, the weekly preview shows Kevin angrily banging on Adam’s door. Adam turns out and seems on guard.

Considering Kevin is the one that told Chance about the cigarette found by Ashland’s car, could that have not been left by the Newman security team member? Remember, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was shocked Newman’s team would be so careless as to leave evidence.

So, maybe it’s because they weren’t that careless. Maybe it was planted to point the finger in Victor’s direction. It’s possible that Adam knows more about what happened the night of Ashland’s death than fans realize. Even though the case is supposedly closed, Adam’s actions could complicate everything.
Fans already knew Ashland’s death was a complex situation with several players involved. Maybe there is something else that happened that fans don’t know about yet. Perhaps Victor isn’t the only one watching people. Maybe Adam is watching Victor and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) without anyone realizing it.
