The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Dr. Markham’s Revenge, Backs Up Patty’s Story About Unhinged Diane?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) could once again become a key player in Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) storyline.

Diane no doubt hoped that was the last time she’d ever have to see Dr. Markham, but he seems poised to reenter the picture and make more trouble for her.

In Y&R’s July 6 episode, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will turn the tables on Diane by claiming her rival stabbed Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Patty will even go as far as giving herself arm gashes to make it look like Diane attacked her, too.

Of course, Patty will throw in the fact that Diane escaped from her doctor’s care, so Dr. Markham may have a chance to get revenge for the whole sedative fiasco.

Dr. Markham will no doubt wake up furious once the pills wear off, so this could be his opportunity for payback.

The Abbotts already looked into Dr. Markham and determined that he had good credentials. Dr. Markham secretly has a shady alliance with Patty, but there’s no proof of that or any reason to doubt that he’s an esteemed doctor from the cops’ perspective.

That’s why it’ll be bad for Diane if Dr. Markham backs up Patty’s story. Dr. Markham might act like he removed Diane from her facility and took her home with him because she needed more extreme one-on-one treatment.

From there, Dr. Markham can tell an altered version of the sedative story and make it seem like Diane tricked him so she could go get her revenge on Jack.

In reality, Dr. Markham may get his own vengeance on Diane for tricking him into thinking she had feelings for him and then drugging his food.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) can dispute Dr. Markham’s version of events right along with Patty’s, but they may argue that he’s just a son who’s desperate to believe his mom is innocent or that he only wants to keep her out of prison.

Regardless, Diane’s mess could get worse once Dr. Markham chimes in and potentially insists she’s unhinged. It’d be better than Dr. Markham admitting he was wrong to release Patty, who clearly isn’t rehabilitated!
