The NFL legend recently told CBS Soaps in Depth, “The main guy I wanted to meet was Eric Braeden. He’s the reason I watched the show in the first place. I was a rookie in ’73, when the show first started. We’d have practice meetings from 10 to 11:30 and then a lunch break to 1 or 1:30. I would go home, eat lunch and watch The Young and the Restless.”
Pearson also added that he loves the rivalries in the soap. He explained, “Victor would go after Jack, and Jack would go after Victor! I became very interested because of that, and because of Victor’s style, his ruthlessness.”
