The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) doesn’t know what to think now that everyone knows Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is indeed Hilary’s long lost twin (also played by Mishael Morgan). In fact, her confidence has been shot so much so that she even has a dream of her boyfriend Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) making love to Amanda and not her. Here’s what you need to know.

While Devon has assured Elena over and over again that she means the world to him and that he has no feelings whatsoever for Amanda, despite the fact that she looks identical to his deceased wife, Elena doesn’t seem convinced.
Actress Brytni Sarpy, who plays Elena on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “Elena’s insecurity comes from the trauma of helping Devon through his grief over Hilary. Although Elena was a rock for Devon, I think the weight and constant reminder of Hilary’s memory have taken a mental and emotional toll on her.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that when Devon gently wakes Elena, he can see distress in her eyes. When he asks her what’s bothering her, Elena doesn’t say anything. She doesn’t want Devon to know that she is feeling insecure about this situation.
Y&R Spoilers – What’s Next For Elena Dawson?
Brytni further explained, “Elena is used to being confident and such a sound companion, that she wants to keep up that façade with the man she loves. She’s trying to be her best self in the presence of Devon, instead of her true self. I think it’s complicated to be yourself in a relationship, especially as things are beginning to blossom.”
With that said, Y&R spoilers say that Elena will have a breakdown and this will lead to dangerous territory. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what happens to her next!

I like Elena's character and the actress who plays her. The actress plays her character as a believable person. It's a pity she doesn't have an original story. Despite the silly twin story being done to death it is enjoyable watching this talented actress giving a heartbreaking performance of a young woman feeling she is losing her lover to another. Great acting, such a pity she has to perform it to a tired, second-hand twin crawls out of the woodwork storyline.
