Devon deserved to learn the truth and it’s best that Elena had the courage to admit it so soon after the incident with Nate happened at the New Hope Clinic. However, soap fans are likely wondering if Elena needed to tell Devon and what that means about her deeper feelings?

Nate told Amanda, when breaking up with her in Chancellor Park, that her genetic reveal as Hilary’s sister deeply impacted him. As fans know, he was the doctor who handled her sister’s case following the car accident.

There was nothing Nate could do to save Hilary, but he obviously continues to feel emotional pain because of it. This persistent belief seems linked to the death of his girlfriend a number of years ago.

However, none of the above should have ever enabled him to cross the line with Elena. Even though their response was mutual, it was morally wrong on both their parts.

Devon has reclaimed his mental stability within the last six months, or so. He’s returned to having a sense of peace in his mind.

Elena became the second greatest love of his life. She’s not beneath Hilary, but rather an entirely new person who occupies another place in his heart.

With heartbreak happening it seems as though Elevon is over. Whether Nelena, or Elate if one prefers, follows is yet to be seen on Y&R.
