He worked with famous comedians such as Woody Allen, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart and Mel Brooks.

Born on October 25, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, he passed away just one month before his 96th birthday.

Colodny worked as a writer on Love, American Style and Get Smart. He also was credited with writing The Spring Thing, Snuffy Smith and Barney Google as well as Beetle Bailey. A Tree is a Tree is a Tree, Home Sweet Swampy, Hero’s Reward and Psychological Testing were also among Colodny’s writing credits.

He was a producer on Mad, Mad Scientist and The Medicine Men. His producer credits also include Baja Marimba Band in addition to Tom, Dick and Mary. He also appeared on The Tonight Show.
