The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease a fierce mama bear Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may ban Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) from getting to know Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). He may want to get to know and reach out to this troubled young woman who’s turned out to be his long-lost niece, but Victoria may fear he’d hurt her.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Doesn’t Want Further Damage
Even though Adam has assured Victoria he wanted to help with Claire if he could, and wouldn’t want to hurt her, Victoria doesn’t want him involved.
Adam has too many of his own problems and unhealthy patterns, and she knows how he hurts people in spite of himself.
Adam may mean well but she’s seen it happen over and over again-he has a self-destructive side and she doesn’t want Claire exposed to it.
Victoria has become a little more tolerant of Adam after learning what happened to him as a child, killing a man to protect his blind mother.

Y & R Spoilers – Real Family Bonding
Previously, everyone had seen Claire as a monster for her role in trapping Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and pumping her full of vodka.
Claire really came through for her family of origin when she held a gun on Jordan (Colleen Zenk) helping Nikki to get an advantage.

When the police came and hauled Jordan off and Victor and Nick Newman (Eric Braeden, Joshua Morrow) arrived, Nikki held Claire close like a real grandma as she cried.
Nikki said they’d most certainly take her home to the ranch and Nick and Victor accepted Claire as well.
Adam may feel as the acknowledged black sheep of the family, he could give Claire some valuable advice and support, but Victoria may feel he could make things worse.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Horrible Track Record
Considering how he’s flubbed up his attempts at redemption, Victoria may feel Adam trying to be a role model for Claire would be the blind leading the blind!
Perhaps later, when Claire has gotten more healing she may feel different but Adam needs to prove himself-she doesn’t even want her to know some family things.
Right now it would do Claire no good to know her uncles have fought over the same women and any of herself and Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) unfavorable past history.
Right now Claire needs a united pair of parents, not Newman family historical dysfunction, and Victoria and Cole are becoming closer over this situation. Claire doesn’t need the more messed up aspects of her family of origin as messed up as she is!
