The Young and the Restless Spoilers for Thursday, August 30: Sharon & Mariah Freak, Rey Pulls A Gun – Kyle Sets Billy Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 30, 2018 begins with Kyle (Michael Mealor) trying to convince Ashley (Eileen Davidson) they really need to push Billy (Jason Thompson), in order to get what they want.

Kyle Feels They Need To Push Billy

He doesn’t feel they have the time to wait like Ashley feels they do; they both agree this isn’t personal and have to handle it in a sensitive fashion.

Ashley is still leery about Kyle being on the same team as her and backing off of Billy and gambling. Ashley disagrees with Kyle who feels that his father, Jack (Peter Bergman) has an illness with his addiction, where Billy is just self-entitled and spoiled.

Ashley hopes Kyle is aware of the irony coming out of his mouth. Kyle admits he might be a tad jealous of his uncle, but this is ultimately about what is best for Jabot and the family; Ashley advises him not to get too cocky. Billy arrives, wondering if there is anything they actually do around Jabot besides trying to take him down.

Sharon Demands Answers From Rey

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) talks to Sharon (Sharon Case) about how aggressively bad she is at relationships. Sharon suggests she go out and “paint the town red!” Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) returns for his free coffee, but Sharon demands answers first.

Sharon demands to know why Rey is in town and he readily admits he is there because of JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).

Sharon reprimands Rey, saying if he made friends with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and was in GC about JT, he should have been up front about it from the beginning. Rey says he is a debt collector, sent there to investigate the credit card debt of JT’s. He has a lot of questions, but Sharon says they are okay but doesn’t appreciate being lied to.

She reminds him JT left a lot of debt financially and emotionally in his wake and who knows if that will ever be repaid and he should keep that in mind; as soon as he leaves, she messages Victoria, Nikki and Phyllis about Rey’s true intentions.

Kyle Tries To Get Rid Of Mariah

Kyle arrives at the Dive Bar where Mariah offers to buy him a drink, saying this is her way of blowing off steam. His PI hasn’t found out anything, she pleads with him to help her take her mind off Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Kyle continues to look around, finally admitting he is looking for a woman, but not Summer (Hunter King).

Kyle is desperate to get rid of her, but she refuses to leave, saying if he is willing to put his heart on the line, she is going to have to check this girl out first.

Mariah promises to only be his wing woman, but Kyle says he really wants her to leave. She calls him a jerk and feels he is going to blow this date and leaves. Kyle joins Sinead and has a proposition for her, offering to make an IOU of hers disappear.

Billy Tells Ashley He Does Not Trust Her

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy agree to meet to discuss the children as Ashley comes to his office, so he can reveal there is a press release going live as they speak, He warns her to stop playing any more games nor sabotaging, proudly announcing they are two weeks ahead of schedule. She hates learning about things after the fact, but he says its because he doesn’t trust her.

Billy tells Ashley if anyone tries to tank this project, it will not be on him. He won’t tell her where the capitol is coming from. Billy suggests Ashley to stop telling him how to do his job and do her own, which is come up with the next big thing.

Victoria Demands To KNow What Sharon Told Rey

Victoria comes to Crimson, demanding to know what Sharon told Rey, worried that he will figure out they are covering for Nick. Victoria wants Sharon to make a dinner for him, and get him talking so they can simply stay one step ahead of him.

Victoria finds Billy in her office coloring; he suggests she join him but she pulls him out of her chair. He insists that he knows her pretty well, knowing she isn’t in a good place, asking her to trust him and to go with him.

Rey Apologies To Sharon

Rey comes to Sharon’s place, apologizing for not being honest but says meeting her and Nick was a nice change of pace. She questions him about his work but before he can answer, Mariah walks in wanting to know who he is.

Billy Admits He Is Stressed Out About Ashley

Kyle sees Sinead’s dilemma and says he expects a small favor in return, unfortunately Billy and Victoria arrive at the bar just as the conversation can get any more serious; they do manage to escape before Billy spots them. Billy and Victoria talk about the children returning to school, as Billy wants to know Reed is doing. Billy admits he is stressed but its about Ashley. He calls her out on deflecting but is worried about her, wanting to know what is going on that has her so on edge.

Mariah is questioning Rey about his job as Sharon wants to know how he can do anything about JT when no one knows where he is. He says he has learned everything from police records as they are all public. Sharon is distracted by a phone call from security saying there is an intruder on the property.

Kyle Pays Sinead To Set Billy Up

Kyle reveals his plan to Sinead about needing Billy Abbott to lose so badly he can’t cover the loss; the reason why is not on the table. He hands her an envelope for the down payment and she will get the rest when Billy is deep in the red. He feels she will pull it off because she enjoys the challenge and is an old rival. He explains what he needs her to do,

Sinead Invites Billy To A Game

Billy assures Victoria she can trust him, asking if there is anything she wants to talk about. She is happy he is back at the Abbott house so he can have more overnights with the kids, but she won’t push to know why he moved back for the kids. She tells him goodbye as Sinead runs into Billy, telling him about the next tournament, saying it sure would have been fun to beat him one last time, Billy sure looks interested.

Billy Says He Is Over Gambling

Ashley touches a family photo when Kyle returns. Ashley questions Kyle about his date, who claims it was not such a hot date. Billy doesn’t convince Sinead that he is over gambling. She takes her purse and leaves as he wishes her luck, but doesn’t look thrilled.
