The Young and the Restless Spoilers for Wednesday, October 3: Sharon Is A No Show At Her Wedding

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) day ahead recap for Wednesday, October 3, 2018 begin with Nick (Joshua Morrow) writing his vows and talking with Christian and Jack (Peter Bergman) as he feels today is the day everything is going to happen, and to never take “no” for an answer!

Jack says they need to go, but Nick worries about his vows as Sharon (Sharon Case) deserves the best day ever.

Sharon Stalls Before Wedding

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) fears she may have done the wrong thing by telling her mom about Nick and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) sleeping together. Sharon assures her she isn’t going to fall apart, and she shouldn’t be scared for her; she only needs to think about what comes next!

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis return to the Jabot mansion, where Jack is shocked to learn they are both attending Nick and Sharon’s wedding. Billy promises tomorrow, after the wedding, he will go to rehab; he thanks Jack for lending the money to payback Jabot. Jack doesn’t want to hear any more about Ashley’s decisions as he feels she did what she thought was best for the family and business.

Billy Blames Ashley For His Downfall

Billy says from the beginning, Ashley has resented him just like she resented Jack for the blood Abbott clause and she only looks out for herself; they are interrupted when Nick returns; no one will tell him what is going on, but it’s obvious there is serious drama going on.

Sharon questions where Mariah found out, especially when it came from Summer (Bayley Corman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor); but it all makes sense when it was the night she took off her ring and they had that big fight. Mariah admits she didn’t tell anyone and neither did Kyle nor Summer; she feels bad for hurting her mother, but Sharon says she was not the one who hurt her!

Abby (Melissa Ordway) cuts her call short when Arturo (Jason Canela) arrives, saying that was Victoria (Amelia Heinle) on the phone and she had the right to know what was going on with Billy as he is the father of her children. They quickly change the subject and kissing.

Nick is okay with Phyllis bringing Billy coming to the wedding but suggests if he is going to throw any punches, best to do them now. He says today, he is a lover, not a fighter and Sharon is a special person who deserves the best and she chose Nick and he hopes that Nick will treat her well. He leaves to get ready while Phyllis stays downstairs, double checking on Nick’s side of their pact; they both know their fates lay in other hands.

Sharon Struggles With Cheating News

Sharon says Nick and Phyllis’ last affair broke her; holding their family picture, she is furious how Phyllis lies and cheats and always wins! This is how she lost Nick – more than once. She admits she was afraid of this but shoved it down. Mariah says she had a sense that this was a one-time thing; Sharon tells her it was a “one-time thing” a long time ago.

Mariah tells her that Nick loves her as much as she loves him, but Sharon says they loved each other the last time too; but Mariah says they are different people this time, if she chooses to forgive him. Sharon wonders if she says, “Enough is enough or does she accept this mistake and that he wants her and no one else?”

Abby shares that she added to Sharon’s hard times, but she is amazing including her in the wedding and her ability to forgive is impressive; especially towards Nick. She tells Arturo that they always find their way back to each other, no matter what happens.

She notices that Arturo feels uncomfortable when she says she loves weddings, so she assures him she has been burnt so she isn’t implying anything. He tells her, he isn’t in the same “camp” when it comes to marriage; as in a little piece of paper shouldn’t change anything. He does believe in love and romance but doesn’t believe in a trip to the courthouse. He feels what he has with her is happiness and falling for someone.

Phyllis doesn’t think they can control Kyle and Summer, although Nick thinks Summer will keep her word. Kyle is a snake in the grass and not on Nick’s payroll; Nick says he is power hungry, and he definitely doesn’t want to make any new enemies as he has enough of those in his own family. Phyllis wishes him all the happiness in the world as he’s off to claim his bride.

Summer Visits Sharon

Mariah will do whatever Sharon wants, even offering to postpone the wedding for her; but Sharon says the wedding is happening today because that is what she wants. Mariah isn’t so sure, thinking she needs to slow down. Sharon is grateful for the truth, but she needs to do what feels right and tells her to go to the church and stand up for her as her bride’s maid and daughter; ordering her to forget they had this conversation. Mariah tells her mom she loves her and will always support her. Just as she suggests she takes the time to think this again, Summer arrives at the door, Sharon rolls her eyes and looks away. Summer asks if everything is under control, Sharon looks her dead in the eyes and says they have never been better!

Wedding Guests Are Arriving

When Phyllis and Billy arrive at the church, Victoria shares that she knows everything that happened. She says for the kids’ sake she wants him healthy and is not judging him. He assures her only rehab is on his schedule, apologizing for the way he has been acting. She is grateful he is willing to do the work and proud of him.

Jack looks through Nick’s vows, as Nick feels this is where their lives are finally starting. Jack says it sounds like heaven. He’s known him for a long time and has never seen him so “awake” and this is his life and he has earned this. He needs to get him to church as there is one rule, he cannot disappoint the bride. Nick says, “Happy Wife. Happy Life!” Sharon helps Faith as Mariah confronts Summer, demanding she keeps her mouth shut for life. Sharon tells Summer, Mariah and Faith to head to the church and she can get herself into her gown and meet them at the church. Mariah looks back at her mom worried, but Sharon nods for her to go.

Victoria surprises Nick, saying he comes in peace as he turns around and Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) walk in. They greet each other, sad that Noah (Robert Adamson) couldn’t be there as everyone else arrives. Summer asks to talk to Nick privately, she tells him she loves him and won’t stop the wedding as its not her choice.

Billy and Phyllis mock the Newman facade, but Phyllis feels she can play as nice as they can; she is proud to be there with Billy. Summer joins them saying whatever Nick wants, she is there to support him. Billy apologizes to Summer for being out of line the last time he saw her. Mariah keeps an eye on Summer as Nick wonders why she isn’t with Sharon, helping her get ready; Nikki and Victoria are very suspicious.

Mariah Worries About Sharon

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) questions Mariah about Sharon’s mentality when she left. Mariah is worried about how tense this is; but Tessa feels Sharon is an adult and knows what she wants. Tessa encourages her to smile and mingle as things will be okay soon. Arturo and Abby arrive and greet Victor and Nikki and she is not happy to see him there. Billy calls Phyllis his “rock” and is grateful. She says they are a team and stand by each other; she will never give up on him. He knows she means it and he feel the same way and will work every day, so she knows it too.

The minister has another commitment, and Sharon still isn’t there. Jack is surprised to learn that Sharon was getting dressed alone and Mariah is unable to reach her by text. Mariah decides to go home to see what is going on. Nick looks confused, as Nikki and Victoria look stressed.

Sharon Is A No Show

Mariah calls out for Sharon in the house as Nick calls Sharon’s phone, but only gets her voicemail. Summer taunts Tessa, saying clearly something is up. Tessa wonders if she has an addiction to drama, as sometimes a delay is simply a delay and disasters are not for her amusement. Victor is not surprised that there is no sign of the bride; even Victor is not surprised that there is no sign of the bride; everyone has different feelings about why Sharon isn’t there.

Billy says talking about Phyllis being it for him and deserving her isn’t enough. He feels after rehab, something more has to happen – like a wedding- THEIR wedding! She laughs, asking if he just proposed to her. He says he is pretty sure he did, asking for her answer. Nick is sure Sharon and Mariah are both ignoring him. Suddenly there is a big bang, Mariah returns, saying everything is fine, no need to panic but Sharon is gone, and she has no idea where she is!
