I get how Adam is struggling with the fact that as a child he could have killed someone. This would obviously be devastating news for anyone. What I am struggling with is the “Adams a child murderer”! As far as this story goes a child pushed someone away to protect his mother! He did not intentionally plan to kill the man and the shock of this terrible accident left him with amnesia to block it out. It was the actions of Victor which has turned an accident into a crime, again Victor playing god. A responsible and intelligent adult would have reported it as the accident it was to the authorities and have gotten the child some trauma specialist help his son. I thought Victor is supposed to be an intelligent man, there is nothing intelligent about how he handled this incident. The story feels a little lame and poorly thought out.
