The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, August 17: Billy Rejects Summer – Rey Investigating Newmans – Kyle Slips About Bet To Ashley

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 17, 2018 reveals, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is at home, impatiently waiting to hear what happened with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Summer (Hunter King). Meanwhile, Summer pretends to act offended but Nick says there is no difference between this and stealing her married boyfriends’s car.

Billy Walks In On Summer and Nick

Summer says this started with them cheating but Nick continues to ask her to stay out of it; before she can agree to the deal, Billy (Jason Thompson) walks in the office, demanding to know what is going on.

Kyle Slips and Tells Ashley He Might Lose His Car

At home, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) walks in bugging Kyle (Michael Mealor) about how he takes care of his car, but he lets it slip that he might lose it on a bet. Summer tells Billy he did walk in on a private conversation but there is no reason why he shouldn’t know all about it.

Kyle tells Ashley about the bet, but not who it is will. Ashley feels Billy is rubbing off on him. Kyle I still confident he can win the bet. Neil (Kristoff St. John) calls Ashley, inviting her to enjoy a night out together; she agrees.

Abby Shocked Sharon Wants Her To Be A Bridesmaid

Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Arturo (Jason Canela) are enjoying some intimate time, when Sharon (Sharon Case) approaches her to talk about the wedding. Abby is shocked Sharon wants her to be a bridesmaid. Sharon feels Nick wants to mend fences, but she won’t beg for her approval.

Summer Lies To Billy

Summer says the conversation is about gambling, and Billy plays along with their conversation. Outside the office, Summer feels “all is well” but Nick says the conversation isn’t ending there. Phyllis leaves a voicemail for Nick, saying she wants a call back now; she leaves the apartment.

Nick Tells Summers He’s Learned A Lot About Her

Phyllis catches Billy leaving the office and is entirely confused about Nick being okay with Summer’s spending habits. She reassures him that she will speak to Nick. On the roof top, Nick admits to Summer, he learned a lot about her today as Summer says she did too, but its not like she wanted the information.

She promises Billy will not find about it from her, but Nick questions whether its because she loves him, or because he paid her off. He doesn’t expect her to be perfect, but he does expect her silence. Summer says his love for Sharon and Phyllis’ relationship with Billy, doesn’t stop them from hopping ton bed together.

Summer says that there is nothing wrong with her wanting her parents back together. Sharon calls, and Summer quickly makes her escape.

Sharon Throws Abby’s Betrayal At Her

Abby understands how Sharon reacted the way she did when she caught her and Scott (Daniel Hall). She explains her history with Arturo but he avoids any questions. Sharon catches them as they are leaving, wondering if Abby made up her mind. Abby wants to know if she wants her to stay out of her face, or carry a bouquet. Sharon throws Abby’s betrayal in her face.

Rey Chats With Nick

Nick is at the bar when Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) sits down and chats with him. Nick signs his check and says he is off to meet his fiance; Rey intently watches him as he leaves.

Summer Tells Kyle Nick Paid Her Off

Summer reveals to Kyle about everything that happened between her and her parents. She shows him the check as he mocks her, saying she has joined the exclusive club of kids who blackmail their parents. She promises to keep her word with Nick. She admits she didn’t book a room, since Kyle didn’t win the bet.

Kyle says the bet is still on as Summer tells him that now when she gets with Billy, it won’t be revenge sex just simply raw, naked desire. She finally reveals that she might want more from billy than just mindless, non-committal sex.

Ashley and Neil Move Closer

Ashley and Neil are enjoying their time together. She feels that as much as she needed this, its clear this is good for Neil too. They talk about his family drama and how he knows he can’t fix the situation with Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) and he can’t protect them from each other. Ashley suggests the music is the antidote to their problems and suggest they dance together.

Ashley and Neil are thoroughly enjoy their dance together. They joke about playing instruments and sounding horrible. Neil suggests they go and they leave hand in hand. He brings her to his place, where he plays a jazz record.

Abby Feels Sharon Is A Hyprocrite

Abby insists Sharon shouldn’t grit her teeth and ask her to be a bridesmaid when all she wants to do is pour coffee into her lap. Nick walks in, stopping the argument as Abby and Arturo escape to the patio, venting how she feels Sharon is being a hypocrite; Arturo suggests they move on for Nick’s sake.

Summer Wants Billy Because He Is Sexy

Summer finds it hard to believe that Kyle can’t understand how she would want someone sexy like Billy. Kyle reminds her about how she treated him. Summer calls him pathetic, saying when she was younger she desperately wanted him, but once she slept with him, she dumped him and he needs to giet over it. Kyle tells her all of this is not her best look.

Phyllis Angry At Kyle

Billy and Phyllis arrive at GCAC, and they come to say hi to Summer and Kyle. Billy has to go back for meetings and asks Summer to drive her home. Phyllis asks Kyle if he would like a shot of cyanide and an arsenic chaser; revealing Summer told him how he is a total sleaze for his lack of indiscretion.

Phyllis Insulted Summer Agreed With Nick and Not Her

At home, Phyllis admits she is hurt that Summer would agree with Nick. She wishes she knew all it would take was some money to silence her as she would have whipped out her checkbook. Summer says she is doing what they want, and won’t say anything. Phyllis hopes they can get back on track, suggesting they spend some quality time together; Summer assures her that things will get better between them.

Nick Introduces Rey To Sharon

Rey returns to Crimson, where Nick introduces Sharon to him. Abby apologizes to Sharon, saying she could have been more gracious. Abby would love to be a part of their wedding day.

Billy Tells Summer He Does Not Want Her

Billy returns to Jabot, where he seems deep in thought. Summer changes her clothes and sneaks out of the apartment, after her mom went to bed. When she wants into Billy’s office, he insists he isn’t doing this. She’s talking about their kiss but Billy throws the fact that Nick is giving her money now. He says the answer will always be “no” and every time he sees her or is in the same room, he feels like he is being pushed off a ledge.

Summer doesn’t buy his words, saying they would be so good and dangerous together. He says he is “not interested!” He feels that him being nervous about her, is not a compliment. She pushes herself on him, saying he may even want her right now, despite his denial. He leans in and tells her they are done and walks out of his office, frustrated.

Nick Is Heading Out Of Town

Nick tells Abby and Sharon he is heading out of town on a project and would love for Arturo to come, as he respects his expertise. Abby again thanks Sharon for asking her and feels honored to be part of it.

Rey Is Invesigating The Newmans

There is an investigation board up with several of the Newman faces placed on it, with JT’s face right in the middle. The man staring at it is the mysterious new man, Rey!
