In light of Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) situation, Devon thinks Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor would be better off with him. Devon knows he has no legal claim to the baby. Devon also tried to assure Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) that it would just be temporary. However, Devon’s suggestion was rejected.

Amanda might be worried that Devon is having separation problems just like Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Devon could just be looking for any reason to take the baby and right now, Abby’s grief is giving him that opening. Devon might not even be able to see the truth himself, but Amanda knows that he feels a strong connection to the child.

On Friday, Amanda will worry about overstepping with Devon. However, she will also take a big step.

      Finally Amanda character is getting a story that brings her into a GC story and not out on a limb with some random lawsuit with a grandpa fans hadn't even heard of. I would like to see Amanda furious with this situation because I think it would hit a nerve, all the sniveling Abby has done to have a family, her good friend Devon steps up to give her a baby, only for her to dump it an run off. If I was Amada, even without her own abandonment issues I would be furious. I don't know if its intentional but the writers are making it look very much like surrogates have more connections to babies than the mothers.
