The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, September 4: Devon Gets Input From Elena – Chance Tries To Disarm Alyssa – Phyllis Is Drawn In To Abby’s Drama

CBS The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, September 4, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Michael Morgan) will continue her argument with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at Chancellor Communications. Amanda will think that Billy dragged Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) into their discussion inappropriately. Billy will say that he was simply expressing concern about Amanda’s rationale for wanting a DNA test now, but Amanda will fire back that things between them need to remain professional.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will walk in and hear the end of Billy and Amanda’s conversation, and after Amanda takes off, Billy will explain that there’s no problem and that he and Amanda simply had a disagreement that they cleared up. Billy and Lily will then discuss relationships, and Billy will joke with Lily a bit, even getting on his phone and filling out a questionnaire on a dating app.

Devon Hamilton Weighs Amanda Sinclair’s Request

Next on Y&R, at Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will arrive just as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is looking at a photo of himself with Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan). Elena will be understanding about the whole thing, and Devon will go onto explain why he was looking at the photo. Off-screen, Devon will tell Elena about Amanda’s request for Hilary’s DNA.

Devon will want Elena’s input on the matter, and Elena will think that he needs to look in his heart and do what he thinks is right. Elena won’t want to tell Devon what to do, but she will think that Devon should take some time to process Amanda’s request fully. Devon and Elena will leave it at that, and after Devon steps away to refill their coffees, Elena will glance at the photo of Hilary and Devon.

Nate Hastings Worries That He’s Opened Old Wounds For Devon Hamilton

Next on Y&R, Nate will stop by Amanda’s suite at the Grand Phoenix to say goodbye before Amanda leaves for vacation. Amanda will give Nate her DNA sample, and she’ll explain that Devon is still thinking about whether or not he’ll help her. Nate will worry that he’s opened old wounds for Devon by suggesting that Amanda do this, and Nate will tell Amanda a bit more about Devon’s final moments with Hilary.

Amanda will be horrified to learn that Devon and Hilary lost their unborn child shortly before Hilary’s death and that Devon and Hilary married right before Hilary died. Amanda will feel terribly for Devon, but Nate will say that this is his fault. Amanda will tell Nate that if Devon doesn’t want to help, then she’ll accept it, and she’ll leave for vacation.

Nick Newman & Noah Newman Catch Up

Next on Y&R, in the lobby of the Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive to find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) working on something big. Nick and Phyllis will flirt a little, but Phyllis won’t tell Nick what she’s working on just yet.

Nick will head for a visit with Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) in Chancellor Park. Noah will tell Nick about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) stopping by to see Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), and Noah will grump about how he doesn’t want Adam around Sharon. Noah will offer to come home and take care of Sharon, but Nick will tell Noah that he needs to live his life since that’s what will make Sharon happy.

Phyllis Summers Spies An Intriguing Situation

Next on Y&R, at Society, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will be talking about Chance’s job offer at the GCPD when Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) walks in and sits down across the room. Abby will immediately worry about Alyssa’s investigation into what happened in Vegas, but Chance will say that if Alyssa had any solid information, then she wouldn’t be here fishing for details.

Chance will approach Alyssa, and he’ll tell her that he hasn’t been forthcoming with her. Alyssa will be intrigued, and Chance will admit that the missing man in Vegas is part of an ongoing federal investigation and that he can’t comment on it. Phyllis will walk in and notice Abby watching Alyssa and Chance, and she’ll ask Abby what’s going on. Abby will try to get rid of Phyllis, but Phyllis will keep watching what’s going on.

Back with Alyssa and Chance, Chance will wonder why a reporter from Kansas is writing a story about something that happened in Vegas. Alyssa will say that she’s curious about what Adam’s been doing all these years. Chance will cut the conversation off, and he’ll immediately text Adam to talk. Chance and Abby will talk, and Chance will say that Alyssa’s not going to drop this. Phyllis will continue to watch the scene.
