Ashley has flown in to Genoa City to help celebrate Victor’s (Eric Braeden) enormous milestone. The titan of industry has put in 50 year’s worth of double-dealing, corporate raiding and underhanded dealings, and it’s time to celebrate!
Yes, she’s here to honor The Mustache, but she also has other reasons to stay put, at least for now.
The Young and the Restless spoilers – Ashley has unfinished family business
While with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) she talked about daughter Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and what a fine young woman she’s turned out to be, as well as a solid business mogul—why shouldn’t she with her genes?
Victor remarks that it it’s too bad Ash has to be in Paris to feel appreciated and handle business. Of course he’s referring to her fraught family issues, namely the relationship with brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). The frost has warmed for now between them but she still needs a sweater in his presence!
The Young and the Restless spoilers – Theo needs a firm and maternal hand to guide him
Jack is holding his own however and is a grown man capable of tending to himself. But that can’t be said for the newest member of the Abbott clan, Theo (Tyler Johnson).
Frankly, Theo is in over his head at Jabot. Currently he’s treading water at the multinational conglomerate, but with a little nurturing he could become the next John or Jack Abbott.
The Young and the Restless spoilers – Ashley is capable of multitasking across continents!
And that’s where Ashley, the renegade, brash and sassy (non) Abbott comes in. Like Theo she’s swimming with the Abbotts but not quite 100% one of them.
She showed that she has the smarts and compassion to reach out to Theo, as when she offered him a job in Paris with her company.
He turned her down, but why can’t she mentor him from afar or even better, while jetting between Genoa City and Paris?
This combination of non-blood Abbott family players makes perfect business and family sense. Will it happen? It would ignite speculation and cause rumblings, and isn’t that what soaps are all about?
Yes, it adds to the Abbot family drama and I hope she takes Theo under her wing as a family member should , he needs it to bring out the best in him .
