Claire seems too good. While her experience is limited, she interviewed well. Her specific mention of a local family she knows struck the right chord with Nikki, who decided to hire her on the spot at Society.

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was present for Claire’s hire, instantly recognizing her as the competition. It was reasonable to speculate that Claire has a connection to Audra that Silver’s character is unaware of.

Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is bent on revenge. But he is pursuing the Abbott family. So, why would he plant a mole inside Newman Enterprises like he did at Chancellor-Winters?

The Audra gamble flopped and now he is attempting to draw her into his scheme to seize Jabot. But targeting Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is a far different calculation.

It could be that Tucker does not plan to take over Newman Enterprises. He might be triangulating efforts, with whatever intel Claire can gather being directed toward his main goal.

Y&R Spoilers – Audra Charles Risks Everything

Audra was told that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is key to the plan to take Jabot. Tucker wants her to continue romancing Kyle as part of a claimed effort to have him help run Jabot with Audra.

In more recent times Kyle would have never considered betraying his parents, especially his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), by participating in a plot to exact what would be a hostile takeover.

Kyle’s cold drop of his wife, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), changed the trajectory of his life and made Tucker and Audra’s duplicitous moves potentially appealing.

However, Tucker’s wishes are hardly realized. If he can become Jabot’s owner, Audra will play a prominent role in the new power structure. But if that does not happen, she risks losing her position at Newman and possibly her tie to Kyle as well.
