The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Few Weeks Ago, The Character Was Ill Onscreen

A couple of months ago, the character was ill onscreen, and had traveled overseas for treatment by her brother, Dr. Snapper Foster (David Hasselhoff). The illness was written as serious, but did the actress also have a serious illness?

According to sources, Jess has taken a couple of hiatuses-“vacations” from the show, one was a bereavement leave for the death of her husband after a serious illness.

Longer ago than that she was working out contract issues with the show, but that was several years ago. So is there any indication that she’s still with the show and the character she’s played for so many years is still there?

Y & R Spoilers – Jill Walton Has Traveled Frequently Onscreen And At Times Lived Overseas

Like Ashley Abbott, played by Eileen Davidson, Jess’ character Jill has traveled frequently onscreen and sometimes lived overseas, and came back into storylines as needed.

The most important fact to note about Jill as played by Jess is that on the actor list she, like Ashley played by Eileen is listed as recurring.

This means she is not always wanted or needed to drive a storyline, and sometimes she pops in for short appearances. Other times, she appears  for longer arcs as the one that recently concluded with Eileen playing Ashley.

Sometimes it’s at an actor’s request, sometimes, it’s for storyline purposes-in Eileen’s and some other recurring players’ cases it’s due to outside projects, sometimes it’s not.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – No Announcements Of Jess Walton’s Exit

Most importantly, there have been no official announcements of Jess Walton’s exit or anything in the dialogue to indicate the exit of either the actress or the character.

Her IMDB listing is current although it doesn’t show any upcoming projects-and her social media accounts still show she’s on the show.

She’s been playing Jill since 1974 and perhaps she’s just wanted to slow down a little bit, one can’t blame her; she’s been acting since the late 1960s.

She’s recently been posting a lot of memories from her entire career, so that does pose some intriguing questions. If Jess is thinking about possibly retiring, confirmation of that is simply just a wait and see!
