Matt is setting a trap for Nick, who will be on high alert as he returns and surveys the area, knowing all of Matt’s tricks from previous experience with him going back years.

As Nick opens the door, Matt will be lurking behind it, biding his time for the ideal moment to pounce. That moment will arrive shortly after Nick steps inside and turns his back.

It appears that Matt might gain the upper hand on Nick and could even cover his head with a bag. Nick may find himself drugged and whisked away while Matt plots to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit!

Matt Has Turned Nick Into A Scapegoat Before, So This Would Not Be A New Trick

After all, fans of Y&R are well aware that Matt has previously turned Nick into a scapegoat. Years ago, after Matt pulled out his own breathing tube, he placed it in Nick’s hand at the hospital, resulting in Nick’s imprisonment.

Now, it seems Matt might be plotting a different crime, one that could land Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in serious trouble.

It’s entirely possible that Matt will ensure Adam drinks something spiked with drugs while he’s busy with his scheme against Nick.

From that point, Matt could very well trap Adam and Nick in a room alongside Riza Thompson’s (Tina Casciani) lifeless body.

No One Would Be Surprised If Matt Killed Riza And Framed Adam And Nick

No one would be surprised or shocked if Matt eliminated Riza due to her betrayal involving “Spider” and then framed the Newman brothers to take the blame-again, that’s a standard trick of Matt’s.

Adam and Nick may awaken to a terrifying revelation if Matt has orchestrated things so that all evidence points to them.

They might fear that they could be implicated in Riza’s tragic demise unless they can prove Matt’s deceit.

Of course, there’s also the chance that Matt could solely target Adam while devising other plans for Nick; regardless, Riza’s fate seems sealed if Matt is indeed preparing a setup.
