Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) responded tersely to her father’s bitter statement about the sales. She told Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that an analysis of the company caused her to believe those divestitures were needed. She also told her dad that Jack and Billy paid top dollar.
Victor created a telling reaction when he said that he knew she made those decisions in order to get back at him. Heinle’s character stood silent, offering no retort as she did to his initial verbal jabs.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Provides Accurate Assessment
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) how he felt about his sister’s stance. He didn’t like to see his family fracturing. But he recognized why Vickie was acting as she did.
Vickie was demonstrating to Victor that she was in charge. The head of the Newman clan understands power and the effective use of it.
Nick felt that he had to confront his father in the recent past. The J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) ruse, where Nick pretended to be Luckinbill’s character risen from the dead, was a cruel psychological tactic. But it proved effective during the period when Morrow’s character was building Dark Horse, which was purely created to teach Victor a lesson.
Y&R Spoilers – Abbott Brothers Forced To Move Quickly
Vickie had time to formulate her plans. She determined that Jack would want to take Beauty of Nature off the chessboard. Purchasing that longtime Newman division allowed Jabot to digest a competitor.
Billy’s choice was different. Chancellor Communications is trying to establish its brand. The purchase of Newman’s media division enables instant credibility, the acquisition of resulting connections, and access to various power outlets.
But Jack and Billy were forced to make quick decisions, which isn’t wise in business as they couldn’t read whatever fine print Vickie may have placed in the sales agreements. Newman cunning implies that Vickie may not have ceded full control, could buy back the entities at any point or might develop nearly identical outlets if it so chooses.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chairman Of The Board Will Act
Vickie had to anticipate that her father would explode, vent, and then plot revenge. Victor can’t possibly allow his daughter to act with unilateral power because if he does then a precedent will have been set.
The Newman family and its business are intertwined. Now that Vickie has made the first of what likely will be other moves, Victor will counter. That’s how this group of people often interacts within Newman Towers, at the Ranch, or anywhere in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Such is life when one is a Newman.
