The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jack Landron Cast As Amanda Sinclair’s Grandfather

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that fans will be seeing even more of Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) biological family in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

That’s because the show has cast Jack Landron in the role of Amanda’s grandfather, Sutton Ames. The character is set to debut on April 5.

Landron is also a folk singer and songwriter. His credits include Jane The Virgin, Grey’s Anatomy, Shameless, and I’m Dying Up Here. He has appeared in the short films Song From a Blackbird and The Prince of Havana.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Landron Cast as Amanda Sinclair’s Grandfather

Amanda’s current storyline revolves around her search for her biological family. That led her to her birth mom Naya Benedict, played by Ptosha Storey, who initially wanted nothing to do with her. On top of that Amanda discovered that Naya has another daughter who wants nothing to do with her!

This resulted in a restraining order against Amanda, adding insult to injury over her familial rejection. But apparently the show has made a sharp reversal in the plot, because recently Naya reappeared to beg Amanda for her help with a legal matter.

Y&R Spoilers – Jack Landron Will Play Sutton Ames

Naya has a lot of nerve running through her blood apparently as she came crawling to Amanda for help with her family, the family that rejected her. According to Naya, her father Sutton has been accused of murder.

Amanda had no clue as to why Naya would turn to her until the older woman dropped an unexpected bombshell. It seems that Sutton stands accused of killing Amanda’s biological father, Richard Nyland.
Apparently a reporter ran with the story that Richard was killed in a car wreck and determined that Sutton was responsible.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Plots Are Being Recycled?

Naya initially wanted to keep Amanda a dirty little secret, buried in the mists of time. With this in mind is it a good idea to think that Amanda is the best lawyer to represent her grandfather? On top of that a man she will be defending for killing her dad?

The plot sounds complicated and melodramatic which is just the kind of juicy story that soaps excel at. Let’s hope the storyline delivers on all of its promise as Amanda could use some spice in her life after having been two timed by Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
