Digitally skipping to the summer of 2020on The Young and the Restless, fully loyal Y&R fans are remaining patient as resumed filming enters its second week. As long as all goes well, viewers will see Jill and those who are connected to her new episodes approximately two weeks, or so from now.

Jill’s idea to expand Chancellor Industries’ business, by creating a media division, was smart. But her son’s, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), presented as the co-head telegraph’s danger ahead.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Going All The Way Back

Jill, who was introduced to viewers during Y&R’s first week of half-hour episodes in March 1973, remains one of the show’s only original characters who’s still part of the GC scene. Longtime agitator, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), is the other.

Forever CBS Young and the Restless fans and all who weren’t watching when this soap first debuted, saw many unfamiliar faces when the first two episodes of Y&R were rebroadcast at the start of this week. However, the Jill (as originally played by Brenda Dickson) character was someone current viewers knew. Seasoned fans also recognized her adoptive mother, Liz Foster (Julianna McCarthy), as well.

A deeply compelling arc played out in 1993, with Walton then playing the role of Jill. Her edition of the character became enthralled with John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), who was determined to have his child and did.

Jill’s charisma was well-known, as her ultimate nemesis, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), learned the hard way. Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz) wasn’t Katherine’s son through Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes). No, he was Jill’s, as that famous storyline demonstrated.

Phillip III faked his own death but later made amends with his mother. As for Billy, he’s the much deeper handful, which is why Jill has continued to provide opportunities for him to channel his electric energy.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – CI Embroiled In Scandal

Billy often looks before he leaps on Young and the Restless. His addiction to risk is something that Jill is attempting to keep in check through the wise hire of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who serves as an equal co-head of the media division.

A projected CI storyline can have Billy create a problem that can’t be stopped, or fixed. It would be very fitting if one of Jill’s enemies from the past tries to get revenge by luring Billy into a reckless business deal in these modern times. Both longtime fans and newer viewers, who’ve gained an appreciation of Y&R’s storied history, would appreciate this type of multilevel of storytelling.
