The Young And The Restless: Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton)The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) would like to take the just-merged Chancellor-Winters public. That suggestion shocked the conservative-leaning Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), along with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) demurred, though his aggressive personality type is inclined to go along with Jill. Her place as the head of the combined company means that taking CW public is more than just idle talk.

The writing staff created an interesting contrast by having Jill unexpectedly suggest that the company should sell stock to the public. Nate’s idea about the music festival was minor compared to Jill’s bombshell, with Devon being stunned by both.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – History Of A Personal Grudge

Nate is attempting to switch careers. He was forced to do so after Devon punched his face as hard as possible.

Dominic’s character fell from the chair he was sitting on at the Top of the Tower. The impact damaged one of his hands, resulting in the doctor no longer being able to perform surgery.

Devon’s physical attack happened after Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) voluntarily told her then-romantic interest that Nate had a bigger piece of her heart. Nate’s recent clashes with Devon are steeped in that personal grudge, though Devon denies it.

Y&R Spoilers – Music Is Devon Hamilton’s Area Of Expertise

Nate is responding, or retaliating based on perception, is by not adhering to Devon’s wishes. The push to start a music festival is annoying Devon because he feels the newly merged company is not in a position to pursue a complex venture.

Beyond the aforementioned personal grudge, Devon’s area of expertise is music. He inherited that talent gene from his biological father and benefited from his adoptive father’s, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), love of music, specifically jazz.

Nate has no background in business and none in heading a music festival. While his idea and groundwork look good, Devon’s advice is based on his decade of experience. Nate dismisses his cousin’s assessment out of hand.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings Wants Out

The contentious video chat with Jill and Devon led to Nate telling Elena that he wants out. Viewers may suspect Nate intends to leave before Devon demands he is fired.

Devon has been sending a direct message to Nate for a while. He must comply or else.

Subconsciously, Devon also appears to be delivering a silent ultimatum. Apply pressure, and Nate can leave if he can not withstand it.

Forcing Nate out of the company might be challenged by Lily and possibly, Jill as well, if it comes to it on Y&R.
