The Young And The Restless spoilers reveal that Josh Griffith recently decided to focus on the writing for Y&R instead of continuing his duties as co-executive producer.

Things seem to be bringing up old feelings and protective instincts. One story will really bring the excitement now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) knows about Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) condition.

Here is what Griffith revealed in his latest interview with SOD about three very sticky situations that fans have to look forward to.

Adam Newman Knows About Sally Spectra’s Child

Now that Adam knows that Sally is pregnant with Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) baby, he is going to be deeply affected.

Adam and Chelsea lost a child a few years ago and Adam still blames himself. Adam cannot believe how the tables have turned. Adam is very concerned about this baby and is determined to protect it.

Chelsea Lawson And Adam Newman Face Trouble

Adam’s actions is going to cause stress between him and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) even though he isn’t missing Sally.

Adam is all about protecting Sally’s baby because he knows what she went through when she lost their daughter. Adam told the doctors to save Sally when she clearly would have chosen the baby.

Chelsea may have some issues and insecurities when she sees how much attention Adam is paying to Sally and her child.

Will Adam explain his feelings to Chelsea in a way that she can understand?  Adam believes he has to protect Sally from not only losing another baby, but from Billy breaking her heart as well.

“Adam tries to downplay this and fight it, but how long can that last? And at what point does it start to create a rift between Chelsea and Adam?” Griffith revealed.

Billy Abbott And Adam Newman’s Feud Gets Worse

Billy and Adam have always been at each other’s throats as they have been enemies for years. All of this is going to get even worse now that Sally is pregnant with Billy’s child.

Adam doesn’t feel like Billy deserves Sally and he is certainly worried about this child. Will Billy end up breaking Sally’s heart after all?

Chelsea isn’t the only one who is going to notice the hostility between these two. Griffith says that Chelsea and Sally will find themselves wondering, “‘When is this gonna end? When can you guys stop? Because the more you hate each other, the more it affects us.’”

Adam could find himself making things much worse instead of better.

After all, the more stress that Sally witnesses between Adam and Billy, the more stress she is going to feel and that could put Sally and her baby’s health at risk. Will Adam see this before it is too late?
