Nick’s insistence that something was off pushed Victor. Their conversation in the Newman Towers’ executive suite was private. That allowed rare truth to be heard by Morrow’s character.

Victor’s tell to Nick was firm. Braeden’s character said that it was an open and shut case. Ashland’s death was an accident according to the Genoa City Police Department’s findings and based on what the coroner confirmed.
Nick and Victoria’s presence during Ashland’s death needed to be handled. So, Victor developed a plan that created a distraction.
However, Kevin learned surveillance footage from a business near Victoria’s home exists. This implies that Victor’s security team may have been caught on camera moving Ashland’s car from or near Victoria’s property.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Considers Family Factors
A major problem will erupt if Chance discovers that people who were working for Victor involved themselves in this matter. Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) supports her husband but would not want him to legally pursue her father.
Abby carried the load while Chance was out of the country last year. She also was the rock of their family while he was recovering from the effects of his team members being killed.
Being a Newman, Abby will expect Chance to offer full consideration to whatever Victor may be revealed to have done. Chance is an above-the-board guy and likely will disagree with his wife, who has Chancellor in her name, with Newman coming before it.
