With the current situation of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) being kidnapped and Claire being accused by Kyle, that potential romance might just be a short-term opportunity!

Jordan (Colleen Zenk) of course is behind Harrison and Claire’s kidnapping, she’s got both, but when they’re rescued maybe he’ll give Claire another chance, the truth having come out.

Still, the romance could flop with the fans and the show will have to come up with another idea.

With Summer’s distrust of Claire, even though Chance the former FBI agent and police detective seems to be objective, things could line up for a triangle.

Chance has been very fair and kind to Claire and his cop instincts gave him a good feeling about her, and that shows a connection with her as well.

He even defended her to Summer, encouraging her to give Claire a chance to prove herself; this could easily turn into his falling for Claire while still involved with Summer!

Claire also feels positivity where Chance is concerned, and a connection with him as well-Claire’s been worried about Summer becoming an enemy but maybe it’s Summer who should be worried!

Claire’s sinister side could come out for revenge-just a little teeny bit, perhaps, and Summer might sabotage any romance Claire might have with Kyle, leaving Claire vengeful.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Good Girl Territory?

On the other hand, the writers might keep Claire in good girl territory, and mutual feelings develop between her and Chance as they get to know each other better.

That could also lead to Summer and Kyle’s reconciliation if the triangle does happen and she’s the loser, losing Chance to Claire. What it all boils down to is the tension simmering between Summer and Claire could be used in several ways in upcoming storylines.

It would be very interesting indeed if Chance fell for Claire as he’s still falling for Summer!

That would be a super messy triangle indeed-and keep him tied to the Newmans, since his ex-wife Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) is their aunt!
