Ending his marriage to Summer should not have happened. But the decision he made in extreme, irrational haste has already created consequences.

Picking Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) as Summer’s replacement is reckless to the extreme. But viewers recall this is the same guy who willingly cavorted with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) knowing she was married to Ashland Locke (played by Richard Burgi and Robert Newman).

Kyle had no idea he was a father. But Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) happened to run into Tara when he was in New York.

Devoted viewers recall Johnson’s character was written off the show but returned to torture his cousin one more time. He ensured Kyle learned he had a son after telling him that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) was his spitting image.

That set the soapy stage for the introduction of Tara, Harrison, and more prominently, Ashland. Summer and Kyle were not together when Harrison was conceived, and she accepted her husband’s child, becoming his adopted mother.

Summer (as then played by Hunter King) forced Kyle into marriage in the recent past. But that wedding, which took place in the United States, was not real. It was based on Summer’s rivalry with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

As a side point, it was a shame when Calle left the cast. But the actor was set to become Supergirl in the big screen flick, The Flash.

Kyle later married Summer in Italy, with Mealor’s return to the show, the recast to Lanier, and the casting of Enriquez happening as this trio moved back to Genoa City, Wisconsin. The couple renewed their vows at the Abbott mansion last year.

Audra preferably wanted Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). While they shared a kiss, their history was too painful for Noah to revisit and he was in love with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang), with both of those characters having moved to Europe.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was a rising business star who caught Audra’s eye. But Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has his attention, so Silver’s character was not on his list.

So, Kyle was up next, and he bit. With that, a pairing seems likely. Will Audra have his child, becoming the second lady to do so not named Summer on Y&R?
