The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) initially thought he calmed his father’s suspicions. But he later learned Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) determined the extent of his involvement with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) warned her husband about working with her grandfather. Any alliance with Victor behind Jack’s back, especially because countered Jack’s authority, was never a good idea for Kyle to accept.

But Kyle believed he was protecting his father’s best interests and shielding the company from future trouble by scheming to oust Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) from Jabot.

Devoted viewers may have enjoyed the last handful of years as a change of pace. Rather than have Jack and Victor continually attacking each other, they mutually agreed to back off their long-standing fight.

The genesis of the detente arguably began when Jack opted not to retaliate against Victor following the Marco Annicelli (Bergman in a dual role) reveal. That incredible storyline had Victor use Jack’s doppelganger in a mesmerizing plot that led to Phyllis Summers (then played by Gina Tognoni) to accept Marco as her husband for a period of months.

Phyllis could not believe Jack refused to defend her honor after that horror was revealed. The fantastical storyline ended with Victor having his enforcers cut off Marco’s ear, prior to him being returned to prison in Peru, to prevent a revenge return in the future.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Abbott Tired Of Tag Team Drama

Summer stopped looking the other way where Kyle’s mother is concerned. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) turned Christmas into a hideout scheme at the Abbott cabin and followed that by involving Jack in a Pink Pather-like heist in Chicago, Illinois.

Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is teased to return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, in the near future. Diane’s involvement with him, while pretending to be dead and living as Taylor Jensen in Los Angeles, California, led to dangerous days in GC.

So, Kyle’s pursuit of another drama front demonstrates Diane’s negative effect on the men she claims to love. Summer, following her mother’s insightful lead, sees through Diane completely, and wants Kyle to stop enabling her.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Goes Too Far

Diane disrupted Kyle’s life by coming back into it. There was no way to avoid the intensity of explaining why she faked her death, with the outcome producing a wide range of feelings.

Kyle has understandably been off-kilter since his mother’s reveal. Adam has done nothing wrong at Jabot and is being unfairly targeted by his father and Kyle.

It is possible Kyle may not immediately repair the trust he broke with his father. That comes at the same point in the plot that Kyle’s relationship with Summer has frayed due to Diane’s chaos on Y&R.
