Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) saw what the viewers already witnessed on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Prior to Kyle and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) arrival at Society, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and his social media influencer arrived at the trendy spot.
Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) took notice of Theo and was surprised to see an attractive woman with him. She was noticeably put-off by the apparently romantic interplay between this unknown pairing. Lola thought Theo was on a date, as she later said when speaking to Theo, Kyle, and Summer.
Why would Lola have any reaction other than that of a friend? Well, sometimes soapy feelings can change, or evolve. At this point in the storyline, it appears as though Lola’s take on Theo has moved beyond what started as a friendship.

Baseline instincts were developed when Kyle was getting to know Theo in New York. That personal history drives the perspective of Mealor’s character as he faces a very challenging scenario in early 2020.

Theo was revealed as being Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) grandson, meaning that he and Kyle were cousins. The friendship both men had was already broken when this stunning news dropped, which dramatically complicated Kyle’s life. So, his New York pal went from strongly annoying to a direct threat.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lola Abbott Bothered By Conflict
Lola continues to tell Kyle to not allow Theo to trigger him. But it’s also fair to say that Calle’s character is being influenced by Theo’s slow-drip charm.
Kyle knows that Theo is targeting his wife, after using Summer as a fallback option. Lola insists that Kyle has nothing to worry about. But, as the viewers saw, there is something happening with her internally.
Whether Lola is allowing herself to develop deep feelings for Theo is debatable. But the more Kyle makes himself look like an ogre, the more Theo will appear sympathetic.

Y&R Spoilers – Theo Vanderway Making Reckless Choice
Kyle’s right about Theo and Johnson’s character knows it. Summer recognizes Theo’s intent toward Lola, but has been unable to dissuade him from continuing his reckless pursuit.
Theo’s decision to end ‘Tummer’ was unsettling, as it telegraphed his intent to pursue Lola all-out. That’s what Kyle believes is happening now.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was very generous when offering Theo a plumb position at Jabot. Mr. Vanderway is a talented up-and-comer but was given the job because he’s family and due to the skilled insight of Y&R’s skillful writing staff.
Theo could permanently damage his newfound family tie if he interferes with, or breaks ‘Kola’. He could also sabotage his professional career, while also losing Lola, who could remain a genuine friend and powerful, positive influence with Kyle, who Theo should be supportive of.

To be honest, I think Lola might be better off with Theo. There is nothing worse than a jealous husband. If Kyle would change his attitude and work with Theo rather than putting him down all the time things might improve between the 2 men. I don’t know. I’m just rambling.
I do think that Kyle’s fears are certainly justified and whether or not she knows it Lola is leaning somewhat toward Theo also. Perhaps she doesn’t mean to, but it’s written all over her face, she doesn’t have to say a word.
