The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lauren Trusts Phyllis as Jabot CEO – Is it a Mistake?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will take over the CEO chair at Jabot. Many had serious questions and reservations about putting Phyllis in that position. Lauren went to bat for her and vouched for her. Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) noted that Phyllis would make a wonderful CEO.
Phyllis, The Businesswoman
Not many Y&R fans can deny that Phyllis is not a capable businesswoman. She is computer savvy, creative, and makes solid decisions. However, sometimes her judgment is lacking. She is also very emotional, and she often acts irrationally.
Billy goes to leave. Phyllis hands him a box of stuff from the office.
Phyllis: “Oh, Billy? Could you take this to the house when you leave tonight? I’m trying to cut costs on messengers. Thank you.”
Lauren: “And would you mind closing the door, sweetie?”

When Phyllis is under pressure, she often lashes out on others and she never takes responsibility for her actions. In fact, to this day, she has not taken responsibility for being the driving force that ended Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) marriage. She still believes that it was Sharon’s doing. While it doesn’t have anything to do with business, it does show her lack of responsibility and lack of morals.
Lauren Trusts Phyllis with Fenmores?
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Lauren trusts Phyllis with Fenmores. She believes that she will have the company’s best interest in mind. Many viewers cannot fathom how Lauren could feel this way, after some of the shady things Phyllis has done.
For one, Phyllis showed up to a meeting drunk after being upset about Billy’s issues. Aside from the fact she was coping with a substance, showing up to a work meeting intoxicated lacks sound judgment and is not CEO material.
Is It a Mistake?
It’s pretty clear that trusting Phyllis run Jabot will be a mistake. She will have to lean on Jack (Peter Bergman) to help her, which could lead to Jack taking over his CEO chair. With Phyllis in charge and Lauren putting her trust in her, it could lead to a massive cat fight between them when things go south with Phyllis running the show.

This show is getting dumber by the day. Phyllis has no business running Jabot. She’s a skank & has no business sense. I blame Mal Young for this garbage. His writing has wrecked Y&R. It no longer makes any sense. Lauren runs Fenmore Department Stores. She has no business running Jabot too with Phyllis. Pure nonsense. Somebody stop this horror show.
So you put Phyllis in charge. So you want a bunch of women in charge. That would be great if they had any experience? Phyllis is great at computers but let’s put her in charge of a multi million dollar company. How stupid you are making this soap? Or is it your goal for all of fans to quit watching this stupid soap??
