Alfonso’s final episode is set to air October 15 and she claims she will not come back to give Hope a final and proper goodbye. Instead, the show will likely refer to her absence as a casual thing and leave it at that. After all those years.
What are the chances that this super explosive combination of daytime greatness comes together? Right now we’d have to say that anything is possible, but the odds would appear to be in the fans’ favor.
Here are three reasons why Kristian Alfonso could soon be on Y&R.
#1 Kristian Alfonso Indicated That She Did Not Want To Go On A Months-Long Hiatus
Kristian did not ask to leave the show and she was not fired. She was asked to take a five-month leave of absence and then return. It sounds strange and she did not find the idea appealing. Therefore we can surmise that she is open to working on daytime, just not under a funky and unrealistic schedule.
#2 Kristian Alfonso Herself Has Said That It’s Time To Move On
Kristian did not close the door to a return to daytime, in fact, she indicated the exact opposite. She told Soap Opera Digest, “It’s time for me to start a new chapter professionally.” That sure sounds to us like she is willing to consider daytime offers. Just not silly ones that include a five-month hiatus from doing what she does best and obviously loves.
#3 Kristian Alfonso Has Got To Know How Great It Would Be To Star On Y&R
Kristian is a leading lady of the first caliber and she understands that being on Y&R would be a coup. Plus, who wouldn’t want to work with Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott)? This pairing has gold dust written all over it, and she would be passing up a lot of cachets if she were to reject an offer.
Fans would be over the moon to see two soap legends embark on a grand adventure. We know we would and it seems like a no-brainer for both actors if given the chance.

I seem to have a problem getting back into ‘soap’ mode. I’ve only watched 1 episode of B&B and about a half of one episode of Y&R. Guess I’ll see how it goes. Right now my interest is way low. I never watched the rerun episodes during COVID but maybe I should have. Hope you are all enjoying the new shows.
