Victor Wants To Use Lily As A Bargaining Chip

Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wants to use Lily as a bargaining chip to pressure Cane into making a deal-she might team up with Victor to punish Cane for his shady actions.

This week, Cane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) go to Newman Enterprises to inform them they are now the majority shareholders.

Victor and his family have a week to leave the premises, or they will be thrown out, and their belongings will be donated to charity.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have been helping out. Victoria is managing damage control, while Adam oversees Newman Media and assists Victor; now, Victor has given Adam a significant new task.

Victor’s Fake Kidnapping Plot

Recently, Victor asked Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to find Lily and the kids-Victor wants Cane to believe that Lily and the children are kidnapped and in danger.

Adam was told by Victor that they aren’t really in danger, but Cane needs to think they are-however, other Y&R spoilers indicate that by Thursday, Adam is reconsidering things. He has a change of heart, not wanting to kidnap Lily, regardless of whether it’s dangerous or not.

This week, Adam informs Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) about Victor’s plan. Chelsea then asks Adam if Victor plans to kidnap Lily and the twins; Adam will have to tell Chelsea, “Yes, but Victor wants me to handle it, or at least supervise.”

A Deal Could Be Negotiated

Certainly, Adam will assure that Lily and the twins are safe, but Chelsea won’t be happy-on Tuesday, Adam receives a crucial text from the person he sent to find his target.

The message reads, “Lily and her children have been found” and they ask Adam for guidance on what to do next. But honestly, Adam can’t just take Lily and the kids away from their lives.

That would really upset her and could be risky since Lily wouldn’t know the kidnappers mean no harm; she might resist whoever Adam sends, or even Adam himself, leading to complications.

However, Victor could approach this differently. Adam could negotiate a deal, or Victor might contact Lily to propose a deal.

Adam Won’t Defy Victor

Adam needs his dad’s approval, so he won’t defy Victor; but Chelsea will tell him he can’t take Lily and the kids. Adam might say, “I won’t do this; “if Victor wants to kidnap them, he can do it himself-Adam may look for a way around it. Lily’s text to Cane shows she’s still upset, and their kids dislike him too.

She softened towards Cane after their New Year’s kiss, but then saw him with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) multiple times-Lily decided he was hopeless and left Genoa City.

Now that she knows what Cane and Phyllis did with the AI, she’s even more done with him;  Lily sent a text saying she won’t forgive him.

Lily Might Agree To A Fake Kidnapping

She’s disgusted and might make a deal with Victor to punish Cane for letting her and the kids down; both Lily and Victor want Cane to face consequences.

Although Lily dislikes how Victor treated her in the Chancellor deal, she’s moved on-since they both see Cane as a problem, they might team up against him and Phyllis.

Lily might agree to pretend in a kidnapping scheme-this way, Adam and Victor avoid real kidnapping; Victor explains he wants Cane to think she and the kids are in danger.

This would force Cane to negotiate and halt his actions-Victor realizes he must take drastic measures to get Cane’s cooperation. Since Adam doesn’t want to frighten Lily and the kids, and Victor also wants to protect them, they need a way to convince Cane without committing a crime.

A Plausible Scenario For A Fake Kidnapping

Lily could tell  Victor, “Sure, the kids and I will disappear for a few weeks. We’ll stay at a secret cabin in the woods that a friend knows about, and you can say we’ve been kidnapped.”

This way, if Cane tries to contact them, their phones will be off and they’ll be untraceable-Lily might even take a photo of herself tied to a chair, looking scared.

It would make Cane believe the kidnapping is real, and Victor can frighten him. If anything could stop Cane and his AI takeover, it would be to protect Lily.

Victor Is Desperate

Victor is desperate, and Lily knows it would take something significant to make Cane change his ways; despite their past, she doesn’t want the Newmans to lose their legacy.

Plus, Cane’s AI must be destroyed to protect other companies, including Lily’s family business-she doesn’t trust that Cane and Phyllis won’t use it against Winters.

Christel Khalil is on maternity leave for a few months. Perhaps Lily will agree to a fake kidnapping, which makes sense since we won’t see her for some time.

Maybe Adam Can Convince Victor To Talk To Lily Instead Of Kidnapping Her

Perhaps he can persuade Victor to speak with Lily instead of going after her-if she chooses to team up with Victor, they might deceive him.

This could be the wake-up call Cane needs to improve himself and remove Phyllis from his life since she is unstable-everyone keeps warning Cane, “Phyllis will betray you.”

If they execute a fake kidnapping to make Cane back off, the issue is that Phyllis won’t give up-he shouldn’t trust her; she might steal the AI again.

We’ll see what unfolds and if Lily works with Victor to outsmart Cane. Best of all, this could all happen in the plot while Lily stays off-screen during Christel’s maternity leave.
