Ashland was overjoyed but that is being overshadowed by Billy’s custody threat. Even though Victoria said Billy doesn’t have a chance of winning, Ashland knows it could go badly. In fact, Ashland knows that Billy and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would team up to force Victoria to choose between love and her children.

Ashland isn’t going to let this happen. Despite wanting Victoria back more than anything, he can’t bear for her to go through the pain of losing her kids. Ashland might even walk away from Victoria for her own good.

Meanwhile, Lily learns of Billy’s threat to Victoria. Lily is furious and bashes Billy for trying to rip a mother away from her children. Billy insists that he’s trying to protect his kids from the “Locke-ness Monster.”

However, Lily calls it as she sees the situation. Lily says that Ashland’s actions were despicable, but Victoria can make her own decisions. Then, Lily tells Billy that Ashland isn’t a physical threat to the children. Billy is told that his custody threat isn’t about the children at all but getting back at Ashland while “saving” Victoria.

In fact, Lily believes that if Billy goes through with this, it will be the children that are punished. Lily demands that Billy make a choice, but he might not make the right one.

Y&R Spoilers – Unexpected Romance?

If Ashland leaves Victoria and Lily dumps Billy, they will both be single. Sure, there is that pesky lawsuit that forced Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to sell ChancComm. There is also Ashland faking cancer while Lily is a cancer survivor.

The one thing that could have them form an alliance is refusing to weaponize the children like everyone else. Even though Lily and Ashland have never shown an interest in each other romantically, could that change? We will have to keep watching the CBS soap to find out.
