The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) realized that she’d soon be a Rosales again. Now, due to Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) acknowledgment that he still loves Summer Newman (Hunter King), she is.
As a result, Calle’s likable character is making a bold career adjustment in her life. Lola told Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that she’s pursuing a dream in Miami, Florida.
Rather than open her own restaurant in Genoa City, Wisconsin, Kyle’s ex-wife decided to return to her family’s home. Lola will be furthering her entrepreneurial career there, splitting time in the South and Midwest.

Kola fans don’t buy that Kyle never truly loved Lola, or that he still loved Summer during his marriage that just ended. But Y&R’s writing staff has written the story this way and is asking fans to accept it.

It’s reasonable to believe that Kyle was smitten when he first saw the Living La Vida Lola food truck. His future wife was making her way in GC, after moving from Florida, where she joined her brothers in the then expanding Rosales’ family. But Kola is over far sooner than feels natural.
Y&R’s decision to dramatically scale back its newest clan is questionable as well, as Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela), Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez), Eva LaRue (Celeste Rosales), and Adrian Rosales (Jay Montalvo) were intriguing characters, with many stories that could have been told. Here’s hoping that at least Calle isn’t being written out, or having her role reduced.
Y&R Spoilers – Skyle’s History Is Legitimate
Okay, Summer and Kyle have a history that significantly precedes Mealor’s addition to the cast in 2018. So, reviving Skyle is digestible when history is considered.
Could this have happened with a different or deeper lead-in? Yes. But TPTB deserves time to prove if their decision plays out. Let’s give it through next summer (wink)

In the meantime, the chemistry between King and Mealor is solid and includes numerous conflict paths that can be explored. Clearly, Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) interest in Lola, which has recently been reciprocated, provides a clear conflict course.
Beyond the above, the marriage Summer forced Kyle into was never right. Since they’ve been truthful with each other, it’s fair to believe that this sequel can work.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lola Abbott Was Devastated
Lola expected to be Kyle’s wife indefinitely. Refocusing on her career is smart now that she’s not.
Becoming involved with Theo seems very risky. But maybe Johnson’s well-played character just needs a decent lady, like Lola, to mature into manhood.
There’s no doubt that Theo is infatuated with Lola like Kyle was. With Kola’s fall just having occurred, Lola would be wise to take small, personal steps so she doesn’t set herself up to be devastated again.
