Allie Nguyen’s (Kelsey Wang) father is the late Keemo Volien Abbott (Philip Moon), who changed his name to Hao Nguyen. He did that to honor his late mother’s father.

Wang’s character referenced her mother, which left the door open to Mari Jo being that maternal tie.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Who Is Mari Jo Mason?

Mari Jo was introduced into the show through her connection to characters who were twins. Blade and Rick Bladeson (both played by Michael Tylo, who died in the fall of 2021) were both romantically involved with Mari Jo. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) was married to Blade, who was eventually killed in an accident. Rick left town and was never heard from again.

As an aside, Tylo was the one-time husband of Hunter Tylo (who played Taylor Hares on sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful, for many years). Yes, it was and remains a small daytime world.

The late Luan Volien Abbott’s (Elizabeth Sung) reconnection with Jack pushed Mari Jo out of it. Barton’s character then became romantically involved with Keemo.

Later, after shooting Victor, Mari Jo attempted to shoot Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell). Mari Jo was put in an institution in 1996 and has rarely been referenced since that point in the plot.

Speculation about Allie’s troubling maternity is fair game, as this is soap. So, if a new character is confirmed as Allie’s mother or that character is not introduced into the show, then Jack is likely safe.

But it would be most intriguing to have the woman Keemo became involved with revealed as Allie’s mother. Devoted fans recall that Keemo contacted his father after leaving GC and warned him not to become involved with Mari Jo.

Who better than Phyllis to serve as Jack’s eyes and ears if danger awaits? She is up to any potential fight with Mari Jo or anyone who might attempt to take advantage of him.
