“Mariah has been doing her own work in trying to recover from her PTSD and postpartum depression, so her focus has been trying to get better. She recognizes that wanting a baby was at first, rash, so for Tessa to turn that around, Mariah is absolutely flabbergasted.”

Mariah is suspicious of Tessa’s motivation for suddenly agreeing to a baby. Mariah wants to be sure that when they have a child, that it’s for the right reasons. Mariah is concerned that Tessa is only doing this to make her happy. It sounds like the couple moves forward in their plan, but it might not go as expected.

“Depending how this process goes for them, it’s going to be very eye-opening and challenging. You may think you’re ready for such a big step, but you never really are.”
