Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) offered to care for the baby but is obsessed with being a mother to the child. So, Devon’s new role could cause Mariah to lose it and go berserk.

Y&R spoilers reveal that ever since Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor was born, Mariah has felt a strong connection to him. On one hand, it’s understandable as she carried the baby for Abby. Mariah was also held hostage and had no one to talk to except the baby.

Even though Mariah has moved out of Abby’s home, the strong connection is a problem. It doesn’t seem to be going away and while Mariah knows legally it is not her baby, she also thinks Dominic belongs with her.

Abby planned on leaving Genoa City to find answers about Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). While everyone was trying to convince Abby that it was a bad idea, Mariah bursts in the door and offers to take care of Dominic while she’s gone. Abby’s loved ones wouldn’t let her go, but she decides to sneak out while everyone else is asleep.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton’s Daddy Role

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Abby has already handed the baby over to Devon. Abby knows that Devon will take really good care of Dominic. Plus, Devon is more stable emotionally and mentally than Mariah right now.

When Mariah finds out that Abby entrusted the care of the baby to Devon instead of her, she could have an extreme reaction.

Y&R Spoilers – Tessa Porter Panics

It is suggested that Mariah might fly into a rage or even go over to Devon and Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) home repeatedly to “check” on the baby. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) gets to the point where she asks Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) for help. It has been teased that Mariah would completely fall apart and do some questionable things due to her trauma. We really haven’t seen that yet, which means it must be coming up.

While Mariah having a complete breakdown is a sad twist to this storyline, it could also force her to get the help she needs. However, what kind of damage will she do in the meantime? What will it take for Mariah to get treatment for her mental health and trauma? We will have to keep watching the CBS soap to find out what happens next with this storyline.
