As Mariah tried to cope with the connection that wouldn’t fade, she decided the best way to deal with it was to have a baby of her own. When she brought it up to Tessa, she didn’t get the answer she was hoping for. Instead of saying yes, Tessa didn’t feel it was the right time and it certainly wasn’t for the right reasons.

During the week of December 20, Tessa will tell Mariah that she’s changed her mind. Tessa is now ready to start a family and eagerly starts discussing all the options with Mariah. Tessa is considering adoption as one of those options. So, she asks Mariah if she would be open to that or has her heart set on a biological child. Tessa seems to be rushing into this and moving quite fast, which is making Mariah’s head spin.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Camryn Grimes On New Perspective

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that while Mariah came up with the baby idea a while ago, she has since worked on her mental health. Mariah now realizes that she made a mistake by pushing for a baby as it was for the wrong reasons. Grimes explained to Soap Opera Digest,

“Mariah has been doing her own work in trying to recover from her PTSD and postpartum depression, so her focus has been trying to get better. She recognizes that wanting a baby was at first, rash, so for Tessa to turn that around, Mariah is completely flabbergasted.”

Mariah is also concerned that Tessa is only trying to make her happy by suddenly saying she’s ready to start a family. Mariah is concerned about Tessa’s true intentions and grills her about it. However, Tessa insists that she really is ready to have a child with Mariah.

It sounds like Tessa and Mariah begin the process of starting a family, but there will be obstacles and challenges. Grimes hinted that one of them could decide that they really aren’t ready after all. Could it actually be Mariah that slams on the brakes?

      Omg if Mariah then turns around and says she doesn’t want a baby, Tessa should slap her in the face. She has basically been treating her like crap because she wasn’t ready and now that she said she is, she will most likely say she isn’t. Tessa should then go be with Noah who loved her to death..

      Mariah's character is taking a real negative hit with this story. Move on, before this harms a very likeable character. A good way is for the girls to decide they do eventually want a family but first they need to launch Tessa's new album, enjoy its success and then focus on moving into a home fit for their family dreams.
