Tinker assumed the role in 2018. It was formerly played by Max Ehrich (Fen) from 2012-15. Soap fans know that Ehrich’s name recently trended when his engagement to music star Demi Lovato was announced.
Ehrich’s career began to take off while he was on Y&R. During his tenure, he split time by also being part of the cast of the nighttime show Under the Dome.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Max Ehrich’s Schedule Allows Revival?
There is no news that indicates Tinker won’t retain his role as Fen. The actor has delivered stellar work during his time on the show. But the world of daytime is ever-changing, the actor’s commitments can prevent certain jobs from being maintained, and daytime is known as a place where familiar faces often reappear.
Ehrich went on to appear in a number of television series and movies after leaving Y&R’s cast. Most recently he played Brett Weinbaum in the 2019 television series American Princess.
With many entertainment studios resuming production following the shutdown it’s possible that whatever projects Ehrich booked might not allow him to return to Y&R. Of course, this assumes that he and TPTB at the show would be open to a reunion.
Y&R Spoilers – Ensemble Award For Independent Short
Entertainment connoisseurs know that Tinker and three of his Y&R castmates won an award for the short film Across the Room.
Y&R writers Matt Clifford and Mellinda Hensley respectively wrote and directed the film that received the Best Acting Ensemble Independent Shorts Award. A Los Angeles, California, the restaurant served as the setting for the twelve-page script that was shot.
Tinker, his real-life girlfriend, Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter), Le Blanc, and Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway), along with actor Karisa Tate, stared in the flick that was released in 2020.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Fen Baldwin Sees Lola Rosales In Florida?
Likey (Lauren and Michael) were proud that Fen took responsibility for and control of his addiction issues. That along with his burgeoning career allowed him to head back to the road, where he presumably is still touring.
Considering Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) single status and Fen’s past fondness of her, why not write him to Miami, Florida? He could happen upon Lola there, which would advance the story of Calle’s character who seemed to be written out of the show as of the spring. Fen and Lola could then briefly return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, as a couple, which would make for a pleasant mini storyline.
