Who Is Julia Newman?

Bennett debuted the character back in 1980 and continued to play the part until 1984. Her alter ego was a model at Jabot and was Victor’s first wife. The latter arrived in Genoa City to helm Chancellor Industries. He was protective of her and she was often left at the ranch. She had marital problems when she was still with Victor. The latter was caught kissing another woman, he fathered a child with his secretary and kept a lot of secrets including having a vasectomy.

Julia was last seen in Genoa City back in 2018 for the 45th-anniversary celebration of “The Young and the Restless.” She’s coming back once again for the show’s tribute for her onscreen ex-husband.

A Look At Bennett’s Career

Before she had her first acting role, Bennett worked as a “Cadillac Eldorado convertible girl” for an auto show in New York. She appeared on a game show called “Three on a Match.”

She had writing duties on “General Hospital” and even shared an Emmy award with the rest of the soap’s writing team back in 1995.

Stars Return To The Young and the Restless

Aside from Bennett, there are other stars returning to the soap as it honors Braeden’s four decades on the show. Robert Adamson will return as Victor’s grandson, Noah Newman, and Robert Parucha will reprise his role as Matt Miller, Victor’s brother.
