Damian also discussed if Danny did come back, how he would like to see it happen during an interview with Daytime Confidential.

Y&R News: Michael Damian on How Character Should Return

During the interview, Damian explained that there is not a definite plan, although it is possible. As for how he would like to see the character return if the opportunity ever came up and he was available. The actor and director said,

It would be fun for Danny, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), Cricket Blair [Lauralee Bell], Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to get together. Maybe we’re stuck somewhere in a hotel during a hurricane and we all kind of get together and talk about great times and we could flashback to them!

Soap Alum Has Been Asked to Come Back Before

The Young and the Restless alum has been asked to come back before for various events. However, it was never the right timing. He explained that he is also a director and has been filming all over the world. At the time of those requests, he was always out of the country.

“As I’ve told producers if I’m in LA and you want to have me come into Genoa City, absolutely! Let’s do it.”
