The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 20, tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will prepare for Kyle’s big pitch in Kyle’s room at the Grand Phoenix. Summer and Kyle will wonder whether Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) would really use Kyle’s assistant to spy on his ideas.

Next on Y&R, over at Jabot, Theo will talk with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) via phone, then Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will arrive to hear Theo and Kyle’s respective pitches. Jack will tell Theo that he has faith in him, and that he should just be himself today. Kyle and Summer will arrive, and the pitches will begin.

Theo will go first, pitching his big idea, which will be called Back 2 Basics. Summer and Kyle will react as Theo gives his pitch, then asks if there are any questions. Jack will then tell Theo that what he just presented was his pitch from 15 years ago. Theo will protest, saying that Kyle and Summer set him up.

Soon, the whole story will come out about Kyle’s assistant working as a spy for Theo, and about how Summer and Kyle put Jack’s old pitch on the server and baited Theo. Theo will ask for a second chance, but Jack will say that it’s Kyle’s decision, Kyle will promptly fire Theo, and Jack will say that he stands by Kyle’s decision.

Theo will take off, and Kyle will deliver his pitch, which Jack will be very pleased with. Later, Kyle and Summer will toast to their success, and Kyle will remark that Theo got what he deserved. Later, Theo will visit with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) at the Abbott estate, telling her that screwed up and that he not only lost his job, but maybe even his family.

Next on Y&R, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will go to see Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at the New Hope clinic. They’ll make plans for lunch later, and soon Amanda will leave while Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate get to work. Elena and Nate will later talk about how Nate’s date with Amanda went, and Elena will be thrilled for her friend.

Later, Amanda and Nate will regroup at the Grand Phoenix, noting how nice it’s been hanging out with each other. Amanda will say that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) taught her about freedom, and she’ll remark that her life is truly her own again and she wants to seize her opportunities.

Next on Y&R, over at Society, Billy will talk with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about the potentially explosive story that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heine) referenced the other day. Lily will caution Billy not to do anything regarding the story without letting her know first. Billy and Lily will continue talking business.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Amanda Sinclair Gets A New Job

Soon, Amanda and Nate will arrive at the restaurant and Lily will ask Billy to urge Amanda to come on board at Chancellor Media. Lily will end up stepping away with Nate, while Billy and Amanda talk details. Nate will think that Lily probably won’t approve of his decision to date Amanda, but she’ll say that she absolutely does.

Soon, Lily will learn that Amanda has accepted the job offer at Chancellor Media. Separately, Billy and Lily will toast to their new hire, while Nate and Amanda toast to Amanda’s new job. Amanda and Billy will awkwardly glance at each other from across the room.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Newman’s Family Rallies Around Her Before Her Surgery

Next on Y&R, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will come home with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) after her pre-surgery appointment. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be on hand for updates. Sharon will explain that she’s got some guidelines to follow prior to her surgery.

The group will have a good time and end up playing some games together, and during the festivities Sharon will ask Nick to watch out for Faith and Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) in the event anything goes wrong during the surgery. Later, Sharon will approach Mariah about her healthcare proxy form. Turns out Sharon will want Mariah to speak for her in the event she can’t make her own decisions.

Later, a gift basket will arrive at the house from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Sharon will joke about whether the basket is ticking. Together, everyone will take a family photo, and every everyone leaves, Rey will assure Sharon that everything will be ok.
