The Young And The Restless Spoilers Monday, August 31: Rey’s Frustrated With Sharon – Victoria Blasts Victor – Adam Spirals

CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates for Monday, August 31, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be hard at work at Chancellor Communications when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) shows up to see his brother. Jack will say that he wanted to come by and see Billy’s new offices, and as the men visit, they’ll touch on how Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are getting along better.

Billy and Jack will also muse at how peeved Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) must be that Victoria sold off Newman’s Communications Division and Newman Cosmetics. Together, Billy and Jack will joke about possibly sending Victor a thank-you note, and they’ll get a chuckle out of that. Jack will also share about how he’s been spending time lately with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott & Billy Abbott Share Some Quality Time Together

Jack will tell Billy about Dina’s recent message to Jack about how he should find love again, and Jack will muse that it’s “love above all else.” Eventually, Jack will take off, and Billy will get an alert on his phone saying that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been named General Counsel of Chancellor Communications. That will make Billy smile.

Over at Jabot, Jack will tell someone via phone to send flowers to Victor along with a thank-you note. Then Jack will change his mind and tell the person to send flowers to Dina instead, along with a note saying, “love above all else.”

Victor Newman Wants Updates On Adam Newman’s Trip To Kansas

Next on Y&R, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will rest at home, and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will think that Sharon seems exhausted from her trip to Kansas. Sharon will get a call from Victor, who will be at the Newman Ranch, and Victor will want to know what happened with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in Kansas. Sharon will tell Victor to give Adam time to reach out and that she can’t divulge details about what happened.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman & Victor Newman Are At Odds

Victor will disconnect from the call, and Victoria will enter the room. Victoria and Victor will engage in small talk about the kids, and Victor will want Victoria to sit and talk, but Victoria won’t think they have much to say to each other. Victor will insist, and he’ll ultimately admit that Victoria is doing a good job as CEO, but he’ll want to talk about Adam.

That will lead to an argument, with Victoria saying that Victor defends and protects Adam even though Adam has betrayed him time and time again. Victor will explain that he’d do the same for any of his children, but Victoria will balk, saying that she’s suffered repeatedly while Victor dotes on Adam. Victoria will tell Victor that she was insulted and humiliated when he gave Adam her job, and she’ll leave upset.

Rey Rosales & Sharon Newman Are At Odds

Next on Y&R, back at Sharon’s house, Rey will tell Sharon that he doesn’t want to continue being her “backup” like he was in Kansas when he sat in a diner while Sharon helped Adam. Rey will put his detective cap on and try to figure out what might have happened to Adam as a boy, but Sharon will shut that down and tell Rey to stop acting like this is one of his cases.

Rey will keep at it, and Sharon will get upset, telling him to drop it. After considerable back and forth on the subject, Rey will want Sharon to reconsider whether helping Adam is really worth it. Sharon will think that Rey is overreacting, but Rey will say that Sharon has gone way beyond the call of duty for Adam, and he’ll list out all the reasons why.

Rey will be exasperated when Sharon says that she’s going to see her commitment to Adam through no matter what. Rey will say he’s going to work, and that he’ll be back late. Sharon won’t want Rey to go away mad, but he’ll say that he’s frustrated, and he won’t understand why Adam can’t let someone else save him, and why Sharon can’t do the same.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Wants Adam Newman To Forget About The Past

Next on Y&R, at Adam and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) penthouse, Adam will be upset and brooding, and Chelsea will think that Adam is spiraling. Chelsea will worry that Adam might leave her and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Adam will assure Chelsea that won’t happen, and that he just needs time alone to sort everything out.

Later, once Chelsea goes upstairs to check on Connor, Adam will have new memories emerge. Adam will suddenly remember eavesdropping on Victor and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) as they talked about Adam’s attack on AJ Montalvo. Adam will remember Hope telling Victor that the caretaker had come in and said that the look on Adam’s face was terrifying because it was so calm.

Adam will also remember Hope telling Victor that Adam was disconnected from the whole thing like he didn’t remember. Chelsea will return to the room, and Adam will tell Chelsea what he remembered and that his parents knew who he was and what he’s been since the day he was born.

Adam Newman Spirals As He Comes To Grips With His Past

Adam will think that he’s a terrible person and that he wanted AJ to suffer because AJ threatened him, too. Chelsea will think that Adam needs to stop beating himself up over this since he was just a boy when this happened. Adam will insist that he intended for AJ to die, and he’ll reference Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death and what happened in Las Vegas.

Chelsea will tell Adam to stop, and that he’s a good man. Adam will think that he could have called for help or gone to an adult for help, but instead, he chose to attack AJ. Finally, on Monday’s new episode of Y&R Chelsea will complain that Adam is turning this into something it’s not, and suddenly the doorbell will ring. It will be Victor, and Adam will open the door and stare down his father.
