The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, August 6: Kyle Caught Snooping – Devon Throws Cane Out & More

The Young and the Restless (YR) spoilers for Monday, August 6 reveal Lily (Christel Khalil) runs into Cane (Daniel Goddard) at Crimson, shocked to see him. He confronts her about avoiding him, saying they need to discuss this, but she doesn’t want to hear it. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) quietly comes into the living room and startles her mother, Sharon (Sharon Case), which makes Mariah very suspicious.

Summer Surprised Phyllis and Billy Back Together

At the apartment, Summer (Hunter King) comes into the kitchen in only a towel, teasing Billy (Jason Thompson). She is surprised that he is back together with her mother, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). He informs her that he likes being with Phyllis because she is exciting and filled with intrigue, someone who isn’t predictable. Summer isn’t so convinced. Phyllis comes down and tells Summer to put some clothes on as Billy is back, Summer is not pleased!

Sharon Doesn’t Like Nick’s Pace

Mariah questions Sharon about what is bugging her and how she can help her. Sharon reassures her it has nothing to do with her mental health, but rather it has to do with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Sharon says it has to do with getting remarried and this new energy and enthusiasm Nick has; its an adjustment and scary for her at times. She doesn’t like the pace everything is moving at. Sharon shocks Mariah when she announces that Nick wants them to move.

Phyllis and Billy talk before getting ready for work, he offers to answer one secret, promising to let her in on his secret as he has to have this up and running before Ashley (Eileen Davidson) gets back from Berlin so she can’t mess it up. Phyllis looks worried.

Lily Worried Devon Will Turn Her In

Cane is happy that Lily didn’t take any detours to the police station on the way to meeting him, but Lily fears if she doesn’t do it, Devon (Bryton James) will do it for her; worrying that even Neil (Kristoff St. John) won’t be able to stop him. Cane tries to reassure her that it was an accident as Lily says all she is thinking about is their family and Cane makes her promise to not do anything until she discusses it with him first.

Lily just ends a business call and is staring at a photo of her and Devon when they were kids when Maddie walks into the office. Maddie tells her mother that they are all worried about Lily, saying they all know this was an accident, asking Lily if she knows herself that this was an accident, but she isn’t too convincing.

Sharon Misses the Old Nick

Sharon shows Mariah the listing of homes that Nick wants her to look at; Mariah talks Sharon through why Nick is doing this and encourages Sharon to really consider this. Sharon says that Nick has really changed – He’s assertive, dynamic and protective, but she misses the old Nick. Mariah reminds her that life with the “old Nick” was far from perfect and that she should try to create something different and better because they deserve it.

Devon is at the GCAC, when Maddie (Lexie Stevenson) walks in, he asks her to join him. Devon says he will be working from home today, asking her to drop something off at the office so he can avoid the office which he thinks is best for everyone right now. She confronts him, asking him if that is best for everyone, or best for himself?

Cane comes into the restaurant and Devon says they have nothing to talk about; Cane insists they do because what Devon is doing is only hurting his sister, dad, niece, and nephew. Cane is sure that Devon would have done the same thing. Cane apologizes as Devon says he will sacrifice his sister to make up for losing his wife and baby; telling Cane, “Watch me!”

Maddie prepares to leave the office but wants to know from Lily what is going to happen. Lily doesn’t have a definite answer as it is complicated. Maddie tells her she is proud and grateful that Lily is her mom.

Back in the restaurant, Cane continues to chase Devon, pleading Lily’s case. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) comes in and tells Cane he is only making things worse. Devon says he won’t let Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death be forgotten and Cane says no one is disputing that, not even Lily. Cane leaves and Nate reminds Devon that Cane will never stop protecting Lily, asking Devon if this is really the fight he wants?

Phyllis Apologizes

Phyllis finds Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) office, sarcastically asking if she is tempting now. She is surprised to learn that Nikki and Victor (Eric Braeden) are a “power couple” again. Phyllis apologizes, saying she was out of line at Crimson when Paul (Doug Davidson) was there. Phyllis says the four women are in this together when it comes to JT. Nikki scoffs at her, finding it hilarious and informs her that another member of the club told them that Phyllis suggested Nikki and Victoria should take the fall for the murder a few weeks ago.

Summer Thinks Billy Needs Protecting From Phyllis

At Jabot, Billy tells Summer to work at her own desk, she apologizes for the towel incident. He closes his door on her. Kyle (Michael Mealor) asks her what she is sorry for and she tells him to mind his own business. Summer informs him that Billy and Phyllis are back together but swears Phyllis is not happy, reminding him that she had slept with someone else. Kyle regrets telling her, but Summer says someone needs to protect Billy before he gets messed around by her mother, and she’d prefer to tell him sooner rather than later. Kyle calls her out on the fact that she wants Billy for herself, she says she does. Kyle says he doesn’t buy that she wants the casual-no-strings.

Phyllis is furious that Nikki calls security on her and hangs up the phone. Phyllis admits she said it to Sharon. Nikki stands up and says if the body is found, and it leads back to “Girls’ Night” she will take the blame as she was protecting her daughter from a psychopath. Nikki thanks her for being there are friends but doesn’t appreciate being reminded that she only cares about herself. Victor walks in and Nikki dares her to tell him, but she lies saying she was there for a charity and Nikki passed on it, as some people are not capable of “vision!”

Sharon Asks Mariah To Be Her Maid Of Honor

Sharon and Mariah arrive at Crimson, where Sharon thanks her for letting her vent. Sharon admits she will accept the big changes and Mariah says she will always have Sharon’s back. Sharon and Mariah talk about the maid of honor dresses, as a way of her asking Mariah if she will stand up for her.

Kyle runs into Mariah at the coffee house, offering his condolences. He asks about Tessa (Cait Banks), but she says this is about her mom’s wedding, she and Tessa would actually have to go on a second date. They joke around, but when he asks about taking them out for drinks, Mariah admits Tessa is out of town. He gets curious but she leaves before he can ask too many questions.

Mariah is picking up dinner when Tessa calls her, saying things are good with her and Crystal. She says she will be back in GC soon as Mariah tells her to be safe. Suddenly, Tessa is heard telling someone to “buzz off” and to leave her alone. The call ends and Mariah attempts to call her back, leaving a message asking her to call back

Victor Introduces Nikki To Dr. Nate

Victor reminds Nikki that she cannot stress herself too much in order to avoid an MS flare up. Nikki admits the minor flare-up has to do with his battle with Nicholas. She wishes they didn’t have to go to war, Victor says Nicholas is not an equal adversary, so it is not a war. Nate Hastings arrives and Victor reintroduces him to Nikki, saying he hired him to take care of them both, leaving them to get acquainted.

Kyle Snoops

Kyle knocks on Billy’s door but quickly walks in when no one is there. Billy catches him looking through his desk. Kyle tells him he is curious since the CEO has locked out everyone on everything major he is working on. Billy says he has a lot of work to do, saying he is even hiding it from Ashley. Kyle leaves the office and immediately texts Ashley telling her to come back to Genoa City NOW as Billy is attempting to “shut her out!”

Cane Tries To Talk To Shauna

Cane arrives at the condo and Shauna (Camryn Hamm) answers the door saying Devon is working. Cane wants to talk her about the “accident.” He is glad she called it that and it was completely unintentional. Shauna tells him she knows what she saw and Lily ran the red light. Cane says he is understanding and he is only trying to protect his wife and mother of his children. She gets upset that he thinks she is a bad influence on his children.

Cane knows why she came clean with Devon, but pleads with her not to mention this again and let the adults handle this. She says she told the truth so it is out there in the world. Cane tells Shauna that if she goes to the police now that they will be suspicious of her and it will jeopardize the future Hilary wanted her to have. She knows what he is doing and asks him if he cares at all about her, or only about what happens to Lily?

Victor Tells Nikki They Are GC’s Premiere Power Couple

When Nate is done talking to Nikki, Victor asks about Devon and tells Nate to pass on their regards to the grieving widow; both Nikki and Victor take a moment to reflect on how precious life is. Victor says he needs her to feel great all the time because they are about to be GC’s Premiere Power Couple. She laughs.

Devon Throws Cane Out

Devon gets off the elevator as Shauna is begging Cane to leave. He rushes to the condo and demands to know what is going on. Shaun explains that Cane is trying to convince her to remain silent about the car crash. Devon tells him that he shouldn’t be there. Shauna says she almost fell for what Cane was saying until he said that going to the police would have been against Hilary’s dying wishes. Devon orders him to get out of his house!

Cane tells Shauna that Devon is only using her for revenge and she throws in his face that he is only using her to keep Lily from owning up to the truth. Devon tells him to leave before it gets ugly. Cane continues to plead with him to stop this before he does something he will regret for the rest of his life. Devon scoffs saying he should have given the same advice to his wife before she got behind the wheel of that car and slams the door ins Cane’s face.

Cane finds Lily getting ready to leave the office. He tells her he saw Devon, who is too fragile to have a sensible conversation but he is her brother who will come around eventually. Lily feels she can’t wait. She loves Cane for being her champion, but doing the right thing is going to the police and that she ran the red light and caused Hilary’s death. The two tightly embrace.

Phyllis Learns Kyle Caught Snooping

Back in Billy’s office, Phyllis learns that Kyle was caught snooping. Phyllis comes in and they joke around that they have been back together for 12 hours and accusations of her using Kyle to find out the secrets are already flying, do they stand a chance. Billy tells her to close the door to find out; both smiling.
