Nikki Newman’s Sight

Let’s start off with Nikki, who is in the hospital waiting for the special surgeon to arrive. The woman’s sight is quickly deteriorating. It’s happened much faster than anyone imagined, including the neurologist. 

Nikki woke up from a nap only to see pitch darkness.  So, it sounds like the surgery needs to happen fast or Nikki  might never see again.

Newman Family Stands Vigil

At the hospital, Nikki’s loved ones will stand vigil. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has been really crushed by her mother’s diagnosis. 

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) have been silent but have strong support for Nikki.

Victor Newman’s Guilt

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, June 29 reveal that Victor will think about his future with Nikki. Despite the diagnosis, Nikki has wanted him to stay away. 

Victor is doing that,  but has been working overtime trying to fix Nikki’s health. So, if this surgery works and Nikki’s sight is restored, I wonder if she will be grateful to Victor.

Maybe so grateful that she might lower her defenses and give him another chance? Nikki and Victor are really a mess apart, but they seem to really work together. Them  being together might be what is best for GC as well!

Jill Abbott Returns

Finally, we have news about Jill Abbott. The part is usually played by Jess Watlon. However, for Jill’s upcoming 5-episode arc, the character will be played by Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts Brady, Days of Our Lives).

This is just a temporary recast, so be kind to Ms. Koslow. I’m sure she is going to do a wonderful job filling in. As for the storyline ahead, Jill will blindside both Cane and Billy.

I do hope that Jill and Billy can truly mend their strained relationship. As for Cane, what will Jill say when she finds out that he is the new CEO of Chancellor?
